Comparative analysis of alternative mortars produced with different types of waste

Resumo: The search for alternative materials that ensure adequate performance and reduction of environmental impacts, aiming to ensure our needs without compromising the survivability of future generations, is one of the biggest challenges today. Thus, this work aims to compare the effects of the incorporation of residues of different typologies in mortars, through the comparative method, which seeks to verify similarities and explain divergences between the samples evaluated.  To perform the comparison, three studies from the same research group were selected and the results of the common trials were analyzed among the three studies: axial compressive strength (at 28 days), water absorption by capillarity, water absorption by immersion and void index.  The result of the analysis showed that the typology of the residue and the substitution content can influence the physical and mechanical properties of the mixtures.  Among the substitutions of the aggregate was the reduction in mechanical properties, however, there was better performance in the physical parameters of the mixtures. In relation to mortars with partial replacement of the binder, it was noticed that both for the mechanical parameters and for the physical parameters analyzed presented satisfactory results.

Así, este trabajo pretende comparar los efectos de la incorporación de residuos de diferentes tipologías en morteros, a través del método comparativo, que busca verificar similitudes y explicar divergencias entre las muestras evaluadas.  Para realizar la comparación, se seleccionaron tres estudios del mismo grupo de investigación y se analizaron los resultados de los ensayos comunes entre los tres estudios: resistencia a la compresión axial (a los 28 días), absorción de agua por capilaridad, absorción de agua por inmersión e índice de vacío.  El resultado del análisis mostró que la tipología del residuo y el contenido de sustitución pueden influir en las propiedades físicas y mecánicas de las mezclas.  Entre las sustituciones del agregado estuvo la reducción de las propiedades mecánicas, sin embargo, hubo un mejor desempeño en los parámetros físicos de las mezclas. En relación con los morteros con reemplazo parcial del aglutinante, se observó que tanto para los parámetros mecánicos como para los parámetros físicos analizados presentaban resultados satisfactorios.A busca por materiais alternativos que garantam o desempenho adequado e a redução dos impactos ambientais, visando garantir nossas necessidades sem comprometer a capacidade de sobrevivência das gerações futuras, é um dos maiores desafios da atualidade. Desta forma, este trabalho tem como objetivo comparar os efeitos da incorporação de resíduos de diferentes tipologias em argamassas, através do método comparativo, que busca verificar semelhanças e explicar divergências entre as amostras avaliadas. Para realizar a comparação foram selecionados três trabalhos de um mesmo grupo de pesquisa e analisou-se os resultados dos ensaios comuns entre os três estudos, sendo eles: resistência à compressão axial (aos 28 dias), absorção de água por capilaridade, absorção de água por imersão e índice de vazios. O resultado da análise demonstrou que a tipologia do resíduo e o teor de substituição podem exercer influência nas propriedades físicas e mecânicas das misturas. Observou-se entre as substituições do agregado a redução nas propriedades mecânicas, no entanto, houve melhor desempenho nos parâmetros físicos das misturas.
