Systematization of nursing assistance in patients with breast cancer: the nurse's activities

Resumo: This study sought to identify if there are difficulties encountered by nursing professionals during the Nursing Care Systematization to patients with breast cancer in an Inpatient and Oncology Sector / Chemotherapy Unit of a hospital in the interior of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. In this way the present study is classified as descriptive and exploratory that used as technical procedure the data survey in a cross-sectional form with qualitative approach. For that, an interview was applied to nine participants of the nursing team of the oncology and hospitalization sector. All participants in the study signed the Informed Consent Term. Responses were transcribed and analyzed according to approximations with the Bardin Content Analysis. The results of the present study pointed out that the work of nursing professionals in the oncology sector is repetitive and presents daily demands, making it unfeasible to perform the Systematization during the visits, restricting it to admission in the sector. The study serves as a contribution to understand how Nursing Care Systematization is performed in patients diagnosed with breast cancer by nursing professionals from an Oncology and Clinical sector. It can be noticed that the most important impacts reported by the nursing team are identified when an inpatient, concern about hair loss and fear of losing one or both breasts appears in most cases.

De esta forma el presente estudio se clasifica como descriptivo y exploratorio que utilizó como procedimiento técnico el levantamiento de datos de forma transversal con abordaje cualitativo. Para ello, se aplicó una entrevista a nueve participantes del equipo de enfermería del sector oncológico y de internación. Todos los participantes del estudio firmaron el Término de Consentimiento Libre y Esclarecido. Las respuestas fueron transcritas y analizadas de acuerdo con aproximaciones con el Análisis de Contenido de Bardin. Los resultados del presente estudio apuntaron que el trabajo de los profesionales de enfermería en el sector oncológico es repetitivo y presenta demandas diariamente, haciendo inviable la realización de la Sistematización durante las atenciones, restringiéndola para la admisión en el sector. El estudio sirve de contribución para entender cómo se realiza la Sistematización de la Asistencia de Enfermería en pacientes diagnosticados con Cáncer de mama, por parte de los profesionales de enfermería de un sector Oncológico y Clínico. Se puede percibir que los impactos más importantes relatados por el equipo de enfermería se identifican cuando una paciente interna, la preocupación por la caída del cabello y el miedo a perder uno o ambos senos que aparece en la mayoría de los casos.Este estudo buscou identificar se há dificuldades encontradas pelos profissionais da enfermagem durante a realização da Sistematização da Assistência de Enfermagem a pacientes com Câncer de mama em uma Unidade de Internação e Setor Oncológico/Quimioterapia de um hospital do interior do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Desta forma o presente estudo classifica-se como descritivo e exploratório que utilizou como procedimento técnico o levantamento de dados de forma transversal com abordagem qualitativa. Para tanto, foi aplicado uma entrevista a nove participantes da equipe de enfermagem do setor oncológico e de internação.
