Dermatofunctional physiotherapy treatments for localized adiposity: integrative review

Resumo: Localized adiposity is considered as excessive accumulation of fat in a certain region of the body, which can be treated with dermatofunctional physiotherapy resources. This study aimed to describe, from the literature, which treatments of dermatofunctional physiotherapy obtained positive results for the improvement of localized adiposity and identify the most used treatments for localized adiposity. This is an integrative literature review study, conducted from a survey of scientific articles addressing the treatments of dermatofunctional physiotherapy, through the databases Bireme, Pubmed, Scielo, Lilacs, Medline. The inclusion criteria were articles published between 2016 and 2021, and review articles, books, monographs, events, articles in English and Spanish and articles using resources associated with dermocosmetics were excluded from the study. The results showed that the most widely used treatments, such as radiofrequency and ultrasound were effective for the treatment of localized adiposity.

Este estudio tuvo como objetivo describir, a partir de la literatura, qué tratamientos de fisioterapia dermatofuncional obtuvieron resultados positivos para la mejoría de la adiposidad localizada e identificar los tratamientos más utilizados para la adiposidad localizada. Se trata de un estudio integrador de revisión de literatura, realizado a partir de una encuesta de artículos científicos que abordan los tratamientos de fisioterapia dermatofuncional, a través de las bases de datos Bireme, Pubmed, Scielo, Lilacs, Medline. Los criterios de inclusión fueron los artículos publicados entre 2016 y 2021, y se excluyeron del estudio artículos de revisión, libros, monografías, eventos, artículos en inglés y español y artículos que utilizan recursos asociados con la dermocosmética. Los resultados mostraron que los tratamientos más utilizados, como la radiofrecuencia y la ecografia fueron eficaces para el tratamiento de la adiposidad localizada.A adiposidade localizada é considerada como o acúmulo excessivo de gordura em uma determinada região do corpo, que pode ser tratada com recursos da fisioterapia dermatofuncional. Este estudo teve como objetivos descrever, a partir da literatura, quais os tratamentos da fisioterapia dermatofuncional que obtiveram resultados positivos para a melhora da adiposidade localizada e identificar os tratamentos mais utilizados para adiposidade localizada. Trata-se de um estudo de revisão integrativa da literatura, realizado a partir de um levantamento dos artigos científicos que abordam os tratamentos da fisioterapia dermatofuncional, através das bases de dados Bireme, Pubmed, Scielo, Lilacs, Medline. Os critérios de inclusão foram artigos publicados entre os anos de 2016 e 2021, sendo excluídos do estudo os artigos de revisão, livros, monografias, anais de eventos, artigos na língua inglesa e espanhola e artigos que utilizam recursos associados com dermocosméticos.
