Resumo: | This article addresses educational policies and teacher training in higher education in Guinea-Bissau. Its central objective is to understand and analyze educational policies and teacher training in Guinean higher education. In the construction of this article, we present the theoretical precepts that underlie teacher training processes in higher education in that country. The methodology of this work was carried out through a narrative review on the subject based on the authors: Mainardes; Gatti; Mendes; Ball; Passone; Souza among others. The result of this work shows how important educational policies and teacher training are in which one can consider the need to promote improvements in the teacher training process in undergraduate courses and in higher education in Guinea-Bissau. It is concluded that, in relation to the educational sector of Guinea-Bissau, there are gaps and a need to expand and offer teacher training schools, as well as the application of more financial resources in the country's education and that the partnership with other countries and international bodies has contributed to guarantee the training of Guinean teachers. |

Su objetivo central es comprender y analizar las políticas educativas y la formación docente en la educación superior guineana. En la construcción de este artículo, presentamos los preceptos teóricos que fundamentan los procesos de formación docente en la educación superior de ese país. La metodología de este trabajo se llevó a cabo a través de una revisión narrativa sobre el tema a partir de los autores: Mainardes; Gatti; Mendes; Pelota; Passone; Souza entre otros. El resultado de este trabajo muestra cuán importantes son las políticas educativas y de formación docente en las que se puede considerar la necesidad de promover mejoras en el proceso de formación docente en los cursos de pregrado y en la educación superior en Guinea-Bissau. Se concluye que, en relación al sector educativo de Guinea-Bissau, existen vacíos y la necesidad de ampliar y ofrecer escuelas de formación docente, así como la aplicación de más recursos financieros en la educación del país y que la alianza con otros países y organismos internacionales ha contribuido a garantizar la formación de docentes guineanos.O presente artigo aborda as políticas educacionais e formação de professores no ensino superior da Guiné-Bissau. Tem como objetivo central compreender e analisar as políticas educacionais e a formação de professores no ensino superior guineense. Na construção deste artigo, apresentamos os preceitos teóricos que fundamentam processos de formação de professores no ensino superior desse país. A metodologia deste trabalho, foi realizada por meio da revisão narrativa sobre o tema com base nos autores: Mainardes; Gatti; Mendes; Ball; Passone; Souza dentre outros. O resultado desse trabalho evidencia o quanto são importantes as políticas educacionais e a formação docente em que se pode considerar a necessidade de promover melhorias no processo de formação de professores nos cursos de licenciaturas e no e ensino superior da Guiné-Bissau.
