Auditing in nursing and its importance for quality care

Resumo: | To analyze scientific publications on the importance of auditing in nursing and its benefits for the patient in terms of improving the quality of and satisfaction in care. This is an integrative review, carried out by searching the databases: Database in Nursing – Brazilian Bibliography (BDENF), Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS) and Online System of Search and Analysis of Medical Literature (MEDLINE/PUBMED). Crossing the descriptors, using the Boolean operator "and" was implemented as follows: nursing audit AND Nursing Assistance AND nursing notes, using complete articles from the last 5 years, after selection 21 articles were chosen for this revision. It was possible that when there is a follow-up of the audit in the verification of the medical records, there is a correlation between the notes and the assistance provided, but often what is on paper was not performed on the patient, this is a negative aspect, in the positive aspect when what is on paper was performed on the patient and is meticulously recorded, there was an efficient and coherent communication between the team. Auditing in nursing is very important for health institutions, as it has an educating role in care, improving customer service and thus making the institution more recognized by the community it serves. |

Se trata de una revisión que integra, realizada a partir en la búsqueda de las bases de datos: Banco de Dados em Enfermagem – Bibliografia Brasileira (BDENF), Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS) e Sistema Online de Busca e Análise de Literatura Médica (MEDLINE/PUBMED). Através del cruzamiento de los escritores fue hecho por medio del operador Booleano “and" de la siguiente forma: auditoria de enfermería AND atención de enfermería AND anotaciones de enfermería, siendo utilizados artículos completos, en los últimos 5 años, después de la selección fueron escogidos 21 artículos para ésta revisión. Es posible que cuando hay un seguimiento de la auditoría en la verificación de las historias clínicas, hay una correlación entre las notas y la asistencia brindada, pero muchas veces lo que está en el papel no se realizó en el paciente, esto es una en el aspecto negativo, en el aspecto positivo cuando al paciente se le realiza lo que está en papel y se registra meticulosamente, hubo una comunicación eficiente y coherente entre el equipo. La auditoria de enfermería es muy importante para las instituciones de la salud, porque tiene un papel educativo en la atención al paciente, mejorando el servicio al cliente y así formándose como una institución reconocida frente a la comunidad a la cual presta servicios.Analisar as publicações científicas sobre as a importância da auditoria em enfermagem e seus benefícios para o paciente quanto à melhoria na qualidade da assistência e satisfação no atendimento. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa, realizada a partir da busca nas bases de dados: Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Banco de Dados em Enfermagem – Bibliografia Brasileira (BDENF) e Sistema Online de Busca e Análise de Literatura Médica (MEDLINE/PUBMED). Através da junção dos descritores que foi feito por meio do operador booleano” and”, da seguinte forma: auditoria de enfermagem AND Assistência de Enfermagem AND anotações de enfermagem, sendo utilizados artigos completos, dos últimos 5 anos, após a seleção foram escolhidos 21 artigos para esta revisão. Foi possível observar que quando há um acompanhando da auditoria na verificação dos prontuários existe uma correlação entre as anotações e assistência prestada, porém muitas vezes o que está no papel não foi realizado no paciente isso é um aspecto negativo, já no aspecto positivo quando o que está no papel foi realizado no paciente e encontra-se minuciosamente registrado, houve uma comunicação eficiente e coerente entre a equipe.
