Resumo: The article investigated the results of the PIX since its emergence in November 2020 recording the economic advances to then describe the financial inclusion that the PIX has already enabled, as well as the adjustments in the planning of the tool that are being developed for a better adequacy of the same. The work used the tools of bibliographic research and data analysis. It was concluded that the need for democratization of financial systems to promote social and economic development took its first steps with PIX and is already a reality; and adjustments were and will be made to ensure that the system is not used for illicit purposes. The contribution of this study is to provide an evaluation in relation   to the functioning ofthe PIX tool and to investigate its developments in the field of social and economic development and what effects have been observed so far after the introduction of the payment system in the Brazilian market.

El trabajo utilizó las herramientas de investigación bibliográfica y análisis de datos. Se concluyó que la necesidad de democratización de los sistemas financieros para promover el desarrollo social y económico dio sus primeros pasos con PIX y ya es una realidad; y se hicieron y se harán ajustes para garantizar que el sistema no se utilice con fines ilícitos. La contribución de este estudio es proporcionar una evaluación en relación con el funcionamiento de la herramienta PIX e investigar sus desarrollos en el campo del desarrollo social y económico y qué efectos se han observado hasta ahora después de la introducción del sistema de pago en el mercado brasileño.O artigo investigou os resultados do PIX desde o seu surgimento em novembro de 2020 registrando os avanços econômicos para, então, descrever a inclusão financeira que o PIX já possibilitou, bem como os ajustes no planejamento da ferramenta que estão sendo desenvolvidos para uma melhor adequação da mesma. O trabalho utilizou-se das ferramentas de pesquisa bibliográfica e análise de dados. Concluiu-se que a necessidade de democratização dos sistemas financeiros para promover o desenvolvimento social e econômico deu seus primeiros passos com o PIX e já é uma realidade. Ajustes foram e serão realizados para garantir que o sistema não seja utilizado para fins ilícitos.
