Educational action in routine care of cancer patients with a metal tracheostomy cannula

Resumo: | Introduction: Tracheostomy is a surgical procedure performed frequently on cancer patients, requiring special care by health professionals, family members and caregivers. Objective: To analyze the routine of care with the cleaning of the metallic cannula for tracheostomized cancer patients. Method: After approval by the Research Ethics Committee, the study was a preventive intervention with a qualitative approach carried out with health professionals at the Ophir Loyola Hospital (HOL) - Belém-PA, from April to September / 2019, with the realization a questionnaire of 9 open questions, passed on to professionals. For data analysis, Bardin's content analysis technique was used, and the Iramuteq software performed the speech coding. Results: The population consisted of 25 participants: 8 nurses, 9 nursing technicians and 8 physiotherapists, with 8 professionals represented by nursing and physical therapy residents; and 17 were professionals and 8 were resident professionals. Iramuteq generated the word cloud in which the most evoked words are displayed graphically and the Descending Hierarchical Classification, which generated a corpus with 76.44% of use, and 6 classes of different text segments. Conclusion: It was possible to perform a routine analysis of how health professionals perform care with the metallic cannula, a significant percentage of professionals demonstrated to have knowledge incompatible with the literature, an educational video was created for the health professional to facilitate the transmission of hygienic care of the tracheostomy in beneficial to the patient. |

Objetivo: Analizar la rutina de cuidados con la limpieza de la cánula metálica para pacientes oncológicos traqueostomizados. Método: Tras la aprobación del Comité de Ética en Investigación, el estudio fue una intervención preventiva con abordaje cualitativo realizada con profesionales de la salud en el Hospital Ophir Loyola (HOL) - Belém-PA, de abril a septiembre / 2019, con la realización un cuestionario de 9 preguntas abiertas, entregado a los profesionales. Para el análisis de datos, se utilizó la técnica de análisis de contenido de Bardin y el software Iramuteq realizó la codificación del habla. Resultados: La población estuvo conformada por 25 participantes: 8 enfermeros, 9 técnicos de enfermería y 8 fisioterapeutas, con 8 profesionales representados por residentes de enfermería y fisioterapia; y 17 eran profesionales y 8 eran profesionales residentes. Iramuteq generó la nube de palabras en la que se muestran gráficamente las palabras más evocadas y la Clasificación Jerárquica Descendente, que generó un corpus con 76,44% de uso y 6 clases de segmentos de texto diferentes. Conclusión: se pudo realizar un análisis rutinario de cómo los profesionales de la salud realizan el cuidado con la cánula metálica, un porcentaje significativo de profesionales demostró tener conocimientos incompatibles con la literatura, se creó un video educativo para el profesional de la salud para facilitar la transmisión de cuidado higiénico de la traqueotomía en beneficio del paciente.Introdução: A traqueostomia é um procedimento cirúrgico realizado com freqüência em pacientes oncológicos, havendo necessidade de cuidados especiais por parte dos profissionais de saúde, familiares e cuidadores. Objetivo: Analisar a rotina de cuidados com a higienização da cânula metálica aos pacientes oncológicos traqueostomizados. Método: Após aprovação do Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa, o estudo foi de intervenção preventiva com abordagem qualitativa realizado com os profissionais de saúde do Hospital Ophir Loyola (HOL) – Belém-PA, no período de Abril a Setembro/ 2019, com a realização de um questionário de 9 questões abertas, repassado aos profissionais. Para a análise dos dados foi utilizada a técnica de análise de conteúdo de Bardin, e o software Iramuteq, realizou a codificação das falas. Resultados: A população foi composta de 25 participantes: 8 enfermeiros, 9 técnicos de enfermagem e 8 fisioterapeutas, sendo que 8 profissionais foram representados pelos residentes de enfermagem e fisioterapia; e 17 eram profissionais e 8 eram profissionais residentes. O Iramuteq gerou a nuvem de palavras em que palavras mais evocadas são visualizadas graficamente e a Classificação Hierárquica Descendente, que gerou um corpus com 76,44% de aproveitamento, e 6 classes de segmentos de textos diferentes entre si.
