Active methodologies: from the national context to the specificity of a technical course in Buildings

Resumo: | The change of the student profile has fostered the reinvention of education over the past two decades, prioritizing the development of competences, skills and values more consistent with the current job market. In this context, active methodologies prove to be effective in improving the teaching and learning processes, but they are still used timidly in vocational high school, especially in Exact Science courses. Thus, the objectives of this article are to analyze and discuss existing research about the usage of active methods in the brazilian scenario and, specifically, to study the use of these methodologies in an integrated technical course in Buildings. To accomplish these purposes, a bibliometric study about the subject in Brazil was carried out and the research was developed through interviews and questionnaires along with teachers and students of the mentioned course. The results provide an overview of the usage of these methodologies in the brazilian scenario, showing advances in their use and pointing out positive aspects, difficulties and challenges perceived in the implementation of these practices. The experiences lived in the Buildings course confirmed the results found in the bibliometric study and pointed out ways to improve the use of these methodologies in that course. |

En este contexto, se ha demostrado que las metodologías activas son capaces de mejorar el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje, sin embargo actualmente se usan tímidamente en la educación secundaria profesional, especialmente en cursos relacionados con las Ciencias Exactas. Con el fin de analizar y discutir el uso de métodos activos en el escenario brasileño, más específicamente su aplicación en un curso integrado de técnico en Edificaciones, se llevaron a cabo un estudio bibliométrico exhaustivo sobre el tema en Brasil y investigaciones a través de entrevistas y cuestionarios con profesores y alumnos de ese curso. Los resultados proporcionan una visión general de la aplicación de estas metodologías en el escenario brasileño, mostrando avances en su uso en los últimos años y señalando los principales aspectos positivos, dificultades y desafíos percibidos en la implementación de estas prácticas. Las experiencias vividas en el curso de técnico en Edificaciones confirmaron los resultados encontrados en el estudio bibliométrico y señalaron formas de mejorar el uso de estas metodologías en ese curso.A transformação do perfil dos estudantes tem fomentado a reinvenção da educação ao longo das duas últimas décadas, no sentido de priorizar o desenvolvimento de competências, habilidades e valores mais condizentes com o mercado de trabalho atual. Neste contexto, as metodologias ativas têm se mostrado eficazes na melhoria do processo de ensino e aprendizagem, mas ainda são utilizadas timidamente no ensino médio profissionalizante, especialmente nos cursos relacionados às Ciências Exatas. A fim de analisar e discutir pesquisas existentes dirigidas à utilização de métodos ativos no cenário brasileiro e, especificamente, estudar a aplicação dessas metodologias em um curso técnico integrado de Edificações, foram realizados um estudo bibliométrico aprofundado sobre o tema no Brasil e pesquisas por meio de entrevistas e questionários com docentes e discentes do referido curso. Os resultados traçam um panorama da aplicação dessas metodologias no cenário brasileiro, mostrando avanços da sua utilização no decorrer dos últimos anos e apontando os principais aspectos positivos, dificuldades e desafios percebidos na implementação dessas práticas.
