Drug use among university students vulnerable to sexually transmitted infections: A quantitative study

Resumo: Several studies indicate that there is greater vulnerability to acquiring sexually transmitted infections in the population that uses recreational drugs. Objective: this study aims to explore the relationship between the recreational use of psychoactive drugs in a sexual context among female, male and non-binary students at a university in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Method: this is a descriptive study with a quali-quanti approach, consisting of a semi-structured form delivered via the online platform "social network" 196 university students over 18 years of age in the city of Rio de Janeiro responded to the survey. Result: with this study it was possible to know the sexual behavior of this group of people and identify individual psychosocial factors. Conclusion: the characteristics of the social environment where this individual is inserted and the predominant beliefs of the community and about the treatment and normalization of HIV.

Objetivo: este estudio tiene como objetivo explorar la relación entre el uso recreativo de drogas psicoactivas en un contexto sexual entre estudiantes femeninos, masculinos y no binarios de una universidad de la ciudad de Río de Janeiro. Método: se trata de un estudio descriptivo con enfoque cuali-cuantitativo, que consiste en un formulario semiestructurado entregado a través de la plataforma en línea "red social". Respondieron a la encuesta 196 estudiantes universitarios mayores de 18 años de la ciudad de Río de Janeiro. Resultado: con este estudio fue posible conocer el comportamiento sexual de este grupo de personas e identificar factores psicosociales individuales. Conclusión: las características del medio social donde se inserta este individuo y las creencias predominantes de la comunidad y sobre el tratamiento y la normalización del VIH.Diversos estudos apontam que existe maior vulnerabilidade para aquisição de infecções sexualmente transmissíveis na população que utiliza drogas recreativas. Objetivo: este estudo tem como objetivo explorar a relação entre o uso recreativo de drogas psicoativas em contexto sexual entre alunos do gênero feminino, masculino e não binário de uma universidade na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Método: trata-se de estudo descritivo com abordagem quali-quanti, composto por e formulário semiestruturado entregue via plataforma on-line “rede social” 196 universitários acima de 18 anos de idade na cidade do Rio de Janeiro responderam a pesquisa. Resultado: com este estudo foi possível conhecer o comportamento sexual desse grupo de pessoas e identificar os fatores psicossociais individuais.
