Resumo: Soil erosion is one of the environmental problems worldwide, leading to soil loss and a drop in land productivity. The objective is to carry out analysis of the rainfall erosive index in the hydrographic basin of the Ipojuca River. A series of monthly and annual rainfall data from 1962 to 2016 was used. The R factor, rainfall erosivity, allows the assessment of the rainfall erosive potential of a given location, and it is permissible to assess the extent and its rainfall potential in causing erosion in the area. soil, enabling management techniques and adequate occupation. To determine the erosivity factor, the equations suggested by Wischmeier were applied; Wischmeier and Smith and the rainfall coefficient. A high correlation between the erosivity index and the rainfall coefficient was obtained, using the equations obtained to estimate the R factor of soil loss. The “R” factor should be used safely for the areas surrounding the Ipojuca river basin, with similar climatic characteristics, expanding the possibility of using this factor in the conservation planning of agility in agriculture.

Objetiva-se a realizar análise do índice erosivo pluvial na bacia hidrográfica do rio Ipojuca. Utilizou-se de séries de dados pluviais mensais e anuais compreendidos entre 1962 a 2016. O fator R, erosividade pluvial, permite a avaliação do potencial erosivo pluviométrico de um determinado local, sendo admissível avaliar a envergadura e o seu potencial pluvial em provocar erosão no solo, possibilitando técnicas de manejo e ocupação adequada. Para determinação do fator erosividade aplicou-se as equações sugeridas por Wischmeier; Wischmeier e Smith e o coeficiente de chuvas. Obteve-se alta correlação do índice erosividade com o coeficiente de chuva, utilizaram das equações obtidas para estimar o fator R de perda de solo.
