Resumo: Sepsis is an infectious complication of high severity, with potential for evolution to death, both during hospitalization and after discharge. In survivors, are observed, losses in physical and cognitive aspects that affect Health-Related Quality of Life. The objective of this joint design study was to evaluate the Health-Related Quality of Life to sepsis survivors after hospital discharge, through the Medical Outcomes Study 36 – Item Short-Form Health Survey (Version two) and analyze their unique experiences through interviews to broaden the understanding of the multidisciplinary health team. Participated four individuals, and observed median and low Health-Related Quality of Life, whose analysis of qualitative data, according to the framework of psychoanalysis, was notably the polarization of the aspects of the body and illness.

Las pérdidas en los aspectos físicos y cognitivos que afectan la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud se observan en los sobrevivientes. El objetivo de este estudio de diseño mixto fue evaluar la calidad de vida relacionada con la salud de los sobrevivientes de sepsis después de la alta hospitalaria, através del Medical Outcomes Study 36 – Item Short-Form Health Survey (Versión dos) y analizar sus experiencias únicas através de entrevistas para ampliar la comprensión del equipo de salud multidisciplinario. Participaron cuatro individuos, siendo la mediana y baja calidad de vida relacionada con la salud, en cuyo análisis de datos cualitativos, de acuerdo con el marco del psicoanálisis, se observó notablemente la polarización de los aspectos del cuerpo y la enfermedad.A sepse é uma complicação infecciosa de alta gravidade, com potencial de evolução para óbito, tanto durante a internação, quanto após a alta hospitalar. Nos sobreviventes, observam-se, perdas nos aspectos físicos e cognitivos, que afetam a Qualidade de Vida Relacionada à Saúde. O objetivo deste estudo de desenho misto foi avaliar a Qualidade de Vida Relacionada à Saúde de sobreviventes de sepse, após a alta hospitalar, por meio do Medical Outcomes Study 36 – Item Short-Form Health Survey (Versão dois) e analisar as suas experiências singulares por meio de entrevistas para ampliar a compreensão da equipe de saúde multidisciplinar.
