Resumo: | Introduction: The audit aims to control costs, quality of patient care, fair payment of the hospital bill, transparency of negotiation. In nursing, auditing is an activity dedicated to the effectiveness of services. Healthcare-associated infections acquired during healthcare provision are examples of adverse events that impact the quality of services provided. Objective: To describe the role of nurses in the hospital audit on the control of infections related to care in health. Methodology: This is a study with a qualitative approach, of the integrative review type, where health auditing on the control of infections related to health care will be addressed. It was carried out by searching a database available in the Virtual Health Library (VHL) through the health descriptors: nurses, infections related to health care and nursing audit, in Portuguese, respecting the 5-year time frame (2019- 2022). Results: For the development of the study, readings and detailed analyzes of five documents found from the search carried out previously were carried out. Final Considerations: Infections related to health care are just one of the many aspects relevant to health auditing, they represent low quality in health care. The nurse auditor is part of a need for the health institution, monitoring how the records are being carried out, having a critical and proposing view, performing their attributions aimed at improving and quality in care and the reduction of losses. |

En enfermería, la auditoría es una actividad dedicada a la eficacia de los servicios. Las infecciones asociadas a la atención médica adquiridas durante la prestación de atención médica son ejemplos de eventos adversos que afectan la calidad de los servicios prestados. Objetivo: Describir el papel del enfermero en la auditoría hospitalaria sobre el control de infecciones relacionadas al cuidado ensalud. Metodología: Se trata de un estudio con abordaje cualitativo, del tipo revisión integradora, donde se abordará la auditoría sanitaria sobre el control de infecciones relacionadas con la atención a la salud. Se realizó mediante búsqueda en una base de datos disponible en la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS) a través de los descriptores de salud: enfermeros, infecciones relacionadas con la atención a la salud y auditoría de enfermería, en portugués, respetando el marco temporal de 5 años (2019-2022). Resultados: Para el desarrollo del estudio se realizaron lecturas y análisis detallados de cinco documentos encontrados a partir de la búsqueda realizada previamente. Consideraciones Finales: Las infecciones relacionadas con la atención a la salud son solo uno de los tantos aspectos relevantes para la auditoría en salud, representan baja calidad en la atención a la salud. El enfermero auditor forma parte de una necesidad de la institución de salud, monitoreando cómo se están realizando los registros, teniendo una mirada crítica y propositiva, ejerciendo sus atribuciones encaminadas a la mejora y calidad en la atención y la reducción de pérdidas.Introdução: A auditoria visa o controle de custos, a qualidade do atendimento ao paciente, pagamento justo da conta hospitalar, a transparência da negociação. Na enfermagem, a auditoria é uma atividade dedicada à eficácia de serviços. As infecções relacionadas à assistência em saúde adquiridas durante a prestação dos cuidados de saúde são exemplos de eventos adversos que impacta na qualidade dos serviços prestados. Objetivo: Descrever o papel do enfermeiro na auditoria hospitalar sobre o controle de infecções relacionadas à assistência em saúde. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem qualitativa, do tipo revisão integrativa, onde será abordado auditoria em saúde sobre o controle de infecções relacionadas à assistência em saúde. Foi realizado por meio de busca em base de dados disponíveis na Biblioteca Virtual de Saúde (BVS) através dos descritores em saúde: enfermeiros, infecções relacionadas à assistência em saúde e auditoria em enfermagem, no idioma português, respeitando o marco temporal de 5 anos (2019-2022). Resultados: Para o desenvolvimento do estudo foram realizadas leituras e análises minuciosas de cinco documentos encontrados a partir da busca realizada previamente. Considerações Finais: Infecções relacionadas à assistência em saúde são apenas um dos muitos aspectos relevantes para a auditoria em saúde, representam baixa qualidade na assistência em saúde.
