Causal theory, motor symptoms, non-motor symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of Parkinson's Disease: a bibliographic review

Resumo: Parkinson's Disease (PD) presents in senescence, limiting movement and progressing to dementia, thus being the second age-related neurodegenerative disease in the world. Thus, this literature review aims to gather relevant information about PD to direct new scientific approaches that will favor the clinical application, and thus, the quality of life of PD patients. Eighty studies published in the last 20 years were selected and analyzed in a database with indexed descriptors. The observed result leads to the understanding of causal theories, motor and non-motor symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. It was concluded that the study guides, from the information gathered, new experimental studies to improve the quality of life of PD patients.

Por lo tanto, esta revisión de la literatura tiene como objetivo recopilar información relevante sobre la EP para orientar nuevos enfoques científicos que favorecerán la aplicación clínica y, por lo tanto, la calidad de vida de los pacientes con EP. Se seleccionaron y analizaron 80 estudios publicados en los últimos 20 años en una base de datos con descriptores indexados. El resultado observado conduce a la comprensión de teorías causales, síntomas motores y no motores, diagnóstico y tratamiento. Se concluyó que el estudio orienta, a partir de la información recopilada, nuevos estudios experimentales para mejorar la calidad de vida de los pacientes con EP.A Doença de Parkinson (DP) apresenta-se na senescência, limitando o movimento e progredindo para demência, sendo assim a segunda doença neurodegenerativa no mundo relacionada a idade. Desse modo, esta revisão bibliográfica tem como objetivo reunir informações relevantes sobre a DP para direcionar novas abordagens científicas que favorecerão à aplicação clínica, e assim, a qualidade de vida dos pacientes da PD. Foram selecionados e analisados 80 estudos publicados nos últimos 20 anos em base de dados com descritores indexados. O resultado observado direciona para a compreensão de teorias causais, sintomas motores e não-motores, diagnóstico e tratamento.
