Resumo: The present work is about the qualitative analysis of classes of secondary metabolites present in samples of five species of medicinal plants from the garden of Faculdades Nova Esperança, being: Justicia pectoralis Jacq var. stenophylla Leonard, Symphytum officinale L., Dysphania ambrosioides L., Ocimum basilicum L. and Artemisia vulgaris L. seeking to know the profile of secondary metabolites produced by the species by phytochemical screening and 1H NMR. For qualitative analysis, an aliquot of each extract was subjected separately to specific tests, established in the literature, to identify the presence of the following classes of constituents : Flavonoids, Saponins, Alkaloids, Tannins and Terpenoids, as well as by 1H NMR spectra. Thus, comparisons were made with the literature in order to verify the presence of metabolite classes related to biological activities. Our data allowed us to verify the predominance of classes such as: flavonoids, alkaloids and terpenes in the species, combined with the identifications of these classes of compounds through characteristic regions in the 1H NMR spectra allowing us to target a phytochemical profile for each plant separately.

Our data allowed us to verify the predominance of classes such as: flavonoids, alkaloids and terpenes in the species, combined with the identifications of these classes of compounds through characteristic regions in the 1H NMR spectra allowing us to target a phytochemical profile for each plant separately.El presente trabajo trata sobre el análisis cualitativo de las clases de metabolitos secundarios presentes en muestras de cinco especies de plantas medicinales del jardín de Faculdades Nova Esperança, que son: Justicia pectoralis Jacq var. stenophylla Leonard, Symphytum officinale L., Dysphania ambrosioides L., Ocimum basilicum L. y Artemisia vulgaris L. buscando conocer el perfil de metabolitos secundarios producidos por la especie mediante cribado fitoquímico y 1H NMR. Para el análisis cualitativo, una alícuota de cada extracto se sometió por separado a pruebas específicas, establecidas en la literatura, para identificar la presencia de las siguientes clases de componentes : Flavonoides, saponinas, alcaloides, taninos y terpenoides, así como por espectros de 1H NMR. Por lo tanto, se hicieron comparaciones con la literatura para verificar la presencia de clases de metabolitos relacionados con las actividades biológicas. Nuestros datos nos permitieron verificar el predominio de clases tales como: flavonoides, alcaloides y terpenos en la especie, combinados con la identificación de estas clases de compuestos a través de regiones características en los espectros de RMN 1H que nos permiten apuntar a un perfil fitoquímico para cada planta por separado.O presente trabalho trata-se da análise qualitativa de classes de metabólitos secundários presentes em amostras de cinco espécies de plantas medicinais oriundas do horto das Faculdades Nova Esperança, sendo elas: Justicia pectoralis Jacq var. stenophylla Leonard, Symphytum officinale L., Dysphania ambrosioides L., Ocimum basilicum L. e Artemisia vulgaris L. buscando-se conhecer o perfil de metabólitos secundários produzidos pelas espécies por triagem fitoquímica e RMN1H. Para análise qualitativa uma alíquota de cada extrato foi submetida isoladamente a ensaios específicos, estabelecidos na literatura, para identificar a presença das seguintes classes de constituintes: Flavonoides, Saponinas, Alcaloides, Taninos e Terpenoides, bem como por espectros de RMN de 1H. Dessa forma foram realizadas comparações com a literatura no intuito de verificar a presença das classes de metabolitos relacionadas com as atividades biológicas.
