Resumo: Objective: to compare through time series the number of hospitalizations per year and month of care, per place of residence in the regional health care facilities according to CID 10 for mental and behavioral disorders in the period from January 2016 to June 2020 and June 2019 to June 2020 to verify the hospitalizations in the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Methodology: This is an epidemiological study that used data on the number of hospitalizations per year and month of care and per place of residence in the Sergipe health regions. Results: it was found that hospitalizations for mental and behavioral disorders tended to decrease for most of the regionals. Analyzing the pandemic period there was a decreasing tendency except for Lagarto, Nossa Senhora da Glória and Nossa Senhora do Socorro who remained stable. Conclusion: there was a decrease of hospitalizations along the years and during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Metodología: se trata de un estudio epidemiológico en el que se utilizaron datos sobre el número de hospitalizaciones por año y mes de atención y por lugar de residencia en las regiones sanitarias de Sergipe. Resultados: se encontró que las hospitalizaciones por desórdenes mentales y de comportamiento tendieron a disminuir en la mayoría de los regionales. Analizando el período pandémico hubo una tendencia decreciente, excepto para Lagarto, Nossa Senhora da Glória y Nossa Senhora do Socorro que se mantuvieron estables. Conclusión: hubo una disminución de las hospitalizaciones a lo largo de los años y durante la pandemia de COVID-19.Objetivo: comparar por meio de séries temporais o número de internações por ano e mês de atendimento, por local de residência nas regionais de saúde de Sergipe de acordo com o CID 10 para transtornos mentais e comportamentais no período de janeiro de 2016 a junho de 2020 e junho de 2019 a junho de 2020 para verificar as internações no período da pandemia do COVID-19. Metodologia: trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico que foram utilizados dados do número internação por ano e mês de atendimento e por local de residência nas regionais de saúde de Sergipe. Resultados: verificou-se que as internações por transtornos mentais e comportamentais teve tendência decrescente para a maioria das regionais. Analisando o período da pandemia verifica-se tendência decrescente exceto para Lagarto, Nossa Senhora da Glória e Nossa Senhora do Socorro que permaneceram estáveis.
