Freud and Biology: from the project of a scientific psychology to the psychoanalytic theory

Resumo: Objective: To draw a parallel between the neurological model developed by Freud in 1895 and his metapsychological constructs of 1900 and 1923. Methods: This is a literature review based on the following writings by Freud: “Project for a scientific psychology” (1895), “The interpretation of dreams” (1900) and “The I and the id” (1923). Other works and other authors were also included. Literature review: It made it possible to identify that, in order to continue his theory of mind, Freud migrated from the neurological model to a virtual perspective of psychic activity. In this process, Freud went through three models - the neurological model (1895), the topographical model (1900) and the structural model (1923). Conclusion: It is concluded that the ideas and concepts developed in the 1895 neurological model are present throughout the evolution of Freud's theoretical constructs.

También se incluyeron otros trabajos y otros autores. Revisión de la literatura: Permitió identificar que, para continuar con su teoría de la mente, Freud pasó del modelo neurológico a una perspectiva virtual de la actividad psíquica. En este proceso, Freud pasó por tres modelos: el modelo neurológico (1895), el modelo topográfico (1900) y el modelo estructural (1923). Conclusión: Se concluye que las ideas y conceptos desarrollados en el modelo neurológico de 1895 están presentes a lo largo de la evolución de los constructos teóricos de Freud.Objetivo: Traçar um paralelo entre o modelo neurológico desenvolvido por Freud em 1895 e seus constructos metapsicológicos de 1900 e 1923. Métodos: Trata-se de uma revisão de literatura fundamentada nos seguintes escritos de Freud: “Projeto para uma psicologia científica” (1895), “A interpretação dos sonhos” (1900) e “O eu e o id” (1923). Outras obras e outros autores foram incluídos. Revisão de literatura: Possibilitou identificar que para dar sequência à sua teoria da mente Freud migrou do modelo neurológico para uma perspectiva virtual da atividade psíquica. Nesse processo, Freud passou por três modelos - o modelo neurológico (1895), o modelo topográfico (1900) e o modelo estrutural (1923).
