Competences in health promotion in multiprofessional residence: recognizing domains and knowledge of professionals

Resumo: | Objective: to understand the knowledge of professionals linked to the multiprofessional residency on competencies in health promotion. Method: qualitative study anchored in the theoretical framework Developing Competencies and Professional Standards for Health Promotion Capacity Building in Europe (CompHP), carried out from a semi-structured interview with 16 resistant individuals from a Multiprofessional Residency Program. Data were transcribed and organized based on thematic analysis. Results: two categories emerged from the speeches, the first indicates that the residents present conceptions about competences and competences in health promotion, either as an articulation of knowledge, skills and attitudes, or as specific professional attributions of the training nucleus, and the second, presents the domains of competences in health promotion of the CompHP manifested in the informed practices of the residents. Conclusion: There is an advance in the understanding of skills and competences in health promotion, although there is still confusion regarding the applicability of the term, mainly related to its polysemy. |

Los datos fueron transcritos y organizados a partir del análisis temático. Resultados: de los discursos surgieron dos categorías, la primera indica que los residentes presentan concepciones sobre competencias y competencias en promoción de la salud, ya sea como articulación de conocimientos, habilidades y actitudes, o como atribuciones profesionales específicas del núcleo formador, y la segunda, presenta los dominios de competencias en promoción de la salud de la CompHP manifestadas en las prácticas informadas de los residentes. Conclusión: Hay un avance en la comprensión de las habilidades y competencias en promoción de la salud, aunque todavía hay confusión en cuanto a la aplicabilidad del término, principalmente relacionado con su polisemia.Objetivo: compreender saberes de profissionais vinculados à residência multiprofissional sobre competências em promoção da saúde. Método: estudo qualitativo ancorado no referencial teórico Developing Competencies and Professional Standards for Health Promotion Capacity Building in Europe (CompHP), realizado a partir da entrevista semiestruturada com 16 resistentes de um Programa de Residência Multiprofissional. Os dados foram transcritos e organizados a partir da análise temática. Resultados: das falas emergiram duas categorias, a primeira, sinaliza que os residentes apresentam concepções sobre competências e competências em promoção da saúde ora enquanto articulação de conhecimentos, habilidades e atitudes, ora enquanto atribuições profissionais específicas do núcleo de formação, e a segunda, apresenta os domínios de competências em promoção da saúde do CompHP manifestados nas práticas informadas dos residentes.
