Resumo: This paper aims to analyze the hotel industry accessibility issue in 5 touristic regions of the State of Rio de Janeiro - Sun Coast, Coffee Valley, Green Coast, Black Needles and Imperial Green Mountain. The key point of the study was to diagnose how hotel buildings were prepared to receive tourists with special needs. The methodology used a statistical modeling to analyze the data obtained through the Inventory of the Tourist Offer of the State of Rio de Janeiro (IOT-RJ), carried out between 2015 and 2017, in 21 cities that belongs to these regions, including 1.834 hotel units. The relevance of the study is to contribute to the awareness of the civil construction and tourist trades in relation to people with disabilities or reduced mobility needs. As a conclusion, it is highlighted that investigated hotels in these regions do not have the minimum accessibility requirements to promote a great experience for special needs individuals (SNI).

El punto principal del estudio fue diagnosticar cómo las instalaciones de alojamiento están preparadas para recibir turistas con necesidades especiales. La metodología utilizó modelos estadísticos para analizar los datos obtenidos a través del Inventario de la oferta turística del estado de Río de Janeiro (IOT-RJ), realizado entre 2015 y 2017, en 21 ciudades pertenecientes a estas regiones, incluiendo 1.834 unidades hoteleras. La relevancia del estudio es contribuir a la conciencia de la construcción civil y el turismo en relación a las personas con discapacidad o movilidad reducida. Como conclusión, se destaca que los hoteles investigados en estas regiones no tienen los requisitos mínimos de accesibilidad para promover una experiencia excelente para personas con necesidades especiales (PNE).Este artigo tem como objetivo analisar a questão da acessibilidade na indústria hoteleira em 5 regiões turísticas do Estado do Rio de Janeiro - Costa do Sol, Vale do Café, Costa Verde, Agulhas Negras e Serra Verde Imperial. O ponto principal do estudo foi diagnosticar como os meios de hospedagem estão preparados para receber turistas com necessidades especiais. A metodologia utilizou uma modelagem estatística para analisar os dados obtidos por meio do Inventário da Oferta Turística do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (IOT-RJ), realizado entre 2015 e 2017, em 21 cidades pertencentes a essas regiões, incluindo 1.834 unidades hoteleiras. A relevância do estudo é contribuir para a conscientização da construção civil e do turismo em relação às pessoas com deficiência ou mobilidade reduzida.
