Resumo: Introduction: Prune Belly Syndrome (BPS) is a congenital disease of unknown origin, characterized by a classic triad: urinary tract changes, cryptorchidism and abdominal muscle deficiency. Because of the varying degrees of implications, treatment and prognosis are defined by the clinical specificity of each patient. Methodology: This article is an experience report that aimed to report multiprofessional assistance to Prune Belly syndrome in a maternal-infant hospital. Experience report: Experienced during the Multiprofessional Residency Program in Women’s and Children’s Health Care in a maternal and child hospital in the State of Pará, in 2022. All health professionals are important to the care of the syndromic patient, in which in the experience the need for qualification of the multidisciplinary team was evaluated, the construction of up-to-date knowledge about Prune Belly syndrome and how pediatric care and care must be provided during the entire period of hospitalization of these patients. Conclusion: The multidisciplinary team should provide a systematic assistance, focused on diagnosis, treatment and immediate intervention as soon as it identifies the signs and symptoms, seeking update and research on the syndrome, improving care and always seeking to improve well-being, a good quality of life and a development of humanized methods to patients with this pathology.

En razón de los variados grados de implicaciones, el tratamiento y pronóstico son definidos por la especificidad clínica de cada paciente. Metodología: Este artículo se trata de un relato de experiencia que tuvo por objetivo relatar asistencia multiprofesional al síndrome de Prune Belly, en un hospital materno-infantil. Relato de experiencia: Vivenciada durante el programa de Residencia Multiprofesional en Atención a la Salud de la Mujer y del Niño en un hospital materno-infantil del Estado de Pará, en 2022. Todos los profesionales de salud tienen importancia frente al cuidado del paciente sindrómico, en el cual en la experiencia se evaluó la necesidad de la calificación del equipo multiprofesional, la construcción de conocimiento actualizado sobre el síndrome de Prune Belly y cómo debe ser la asistencia y atención pediátrica proporcionada durante todo el período de internación de estos pacientes. Conclusión: El equipo multiprofesional debe prestar una asistencia sistematizada, enfocada en el diagnóstico, tratamiento e intervención de inmediato en cuanto identifique los signos y síntomas, buscando actualización e investigación sobre el síndrome, mejorando la atención y siempre buscando mejorar el bienestar, una buena calidad de vida y un desarrollo de métodos humanizados a los portadores de esta patología.Introdução: A Síndrome de Prune Belly (SPB) é uma doença congênita de origem desconhecida, caracterizada por uma tríade clássica: alterações do trato urinário, criptorquidismo e deficiência da musculatura abdominal. Em razão dos variados graus de implicações, o tratamento e prognóstico são definidos pela especificidade clínica de cada paciente. Metodologia: Este artigo trata-se de um relato de experiência que teve por objetivo relatar assistência multiprofissional à síndrome de Prune Belly, em um hospital materno-infantil. Resultados e discussões: Vivenciada durante o programa de Residência Multiprofissional em Atenção à Saúde da Mulher e da Criança em um hospital materno-infantil do Estado do Pará, em 2022. Todos os profissionais de saúde têm importância frente ao cuidado ao paciente sindrômico, no qual na experiência foi avaliado a necessidade da qualificação da equipe multiprofissional, a construção de conhecimento atualizado sobre a síndrome de Prune Belly e como tem de ser a assistência e cuidados pediátricos prestados durante todo o período de internação desses pacientes.
