Feasibility Study of the Application of Geothermal Energy as a Complementary Source of the Energy Matrix of the State of Mato Grosso

Resumo: The world needs energy to continue its development. One of the most promising sources is geothermal energy that is stable and does not depend on weather conditions. Brazil has a potential to exploit this energy. The objective of this article is to present a feasibility analysis of the implementation of the energy matrix of the state of Mato Grosso through the implementation of Geothermal plants, avoiding sudden oscillations in the supply. An indirect source documentary research is carried out in which data and information about the potential of the use of this energy in the Central West region of Brazil is carried out. The data point to the possibility of use mainly in the State of Mato Grosso and this energy source may become an important strategic reserve for the country.

Una de las fuentes más prometedoras es la energía geotérmica que es estable y no depende de las condiciones climáticas. Brasil tiene un potencial para explotar esta energía. El objetivo del presente artículo es presentar un análisis de viabilidad de implementación de la matriz energética del estado de Mato Grosso por medio de la implantación de usinas Geotérmicas, evitando bruscas oscilaciones en el suministro. Se realiza una investigación documental de fuente indirecta en la que se levanta datos e informaciones sobre el potencial del empleo de esta energía en la región Centro Oeste de Brasil. Los datos apuntan a la posibilidad de utilización principalmente en el Estado de Mato Grosso y esta fuente energética puede convertirse en una reserva estratégica importante para el país.O mundo precisa de energia para prosseguir no seu desenvolvimento. Uma das fontes mais promissoras é a energia geotérmica que é estável e não depende de condições climáticas. O Brasil tem um potencial para exploração desta energia. O objetivo do presente artigo é apresentar uma análise de viabilidade de implementação da matriz energética do estado do Mato Grosso por meio da implantação de usinas Geotérmicas, evitando bruscas oscilações no fornecimento. Realiza-se uma pesquisa documental de fonte indireta na qual se levanta dados  e informações sobre o potencial do emprego desta energia na região Centro Oeste do Brasil.
