Tutoring and preceptory in multiprofessional residence programs in basic care: a necessary dialogue

Resumo: This study aimed to analyze the perception of Tutors, Preceptors and Residents of Multi-Professional Residency Programs in Primary Health Care (PRMS-AB) developed in Southern Brazil, as participants in this type of formation. Descriptive and qualitative study conducted from May to September 2016, by electronic questionnaire (closed and open questions) for Tutors, Preceptors and Residents, analyzed by the technique of Content Analysis. 23 Tutors, 14 Preceptors and 22 Residents from six Higher Education Institutions participated. The professional qualification of 84.2% of the Tutors was in Collective Health, Public Health or Higher Education; 92.9% of Preceptors had at least one specialization in these areas. Tutors and Preceptors attributed the lack of time and fragility of the teaching-service relationship as difficulties. For Residents, the lack of core Preceptor or the overload of Nurse Preceptor weakens training. Tutoring positively influenced the teaching exercise in undergraduate; For Preceptors, PRMS-AB enabled changes in the work process. Residents rated AB as an appropriate field for core activities. According to those involved, PRMS-AB are potent to (trans) train health professionals and services.

According to those involved, PRMS-AB are potent to (trans) train health professionals and services.Este estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar la percepción de los tutores, preceptores y residentes de los programas de residencia multiprofesional en atención primaria de salud (PRMS-AB) desarrollados en el sur de Brasil, como participantes en este tipo de capacitación. Estudio descriptivo y cualitativo realizado de mayo a septiembre de 2016, mediante cuestionario electrónico (preguntas cerradas y abiertas) para tutores, preceptores y residentes, analizado por la técnica de análisis de contenido. Participaron 23 tutores, 14 preceptores y 22 residentes de seis instituciones de educación superior. La calificación profesional del 84.2% de los tutores era en salud colectiva, salud pública o educación superior; El 92,9% de los preceptores tenían al menos una especialización en estas áreas. Los tutores y preceptores atribuyeron la falta de tiempo y la fragilidad de la relación enseñanza-servicio como dificultades. Para los residentes, la falta de un preceptor central o la sobrecarga del preceptor de enfermería debilita el entrenamiento. La tutoría influyó positivamente en el ejercicio de enseñanza en los estudios de pregrado; Para los preceptores, PRMS-AB permitió cambios en el proceso de trabajo. Los residentes calificaron a AB como un campo apropiado para las actividades centrales. Según los involucrados, PRMS-AB son potentes para (trans) capacitar a profesionales y servicios de salud.Este estudo teve por objetivo analisar a percepção de Tutores, Preceptores e Residentes dos Programas de Residência Multiprofissional em Saúde na Atenção Básica (PRMS-AB) desenvolvidos na Região Sul do Brasil, enquanto partícipes desta modalidade de formação. Estudo descritivo e qualitativo realizado de maio a setembro/2016, por questionário eletrônico (questões fechadas e abertas) para Tutores, Preceptores e Residentes, analisado pela técnica de Análise de Conteúdo. Participaram 23 Tutores, 14 Preceptores e 22 Residentes de seis Instituições de Ensino Superior. A qualificação profissional de 84,2% dos Tutores era em Saúde Coletiva, Saúde Pública ou Educação Superior; 92,9% dos Preceptores tinham, ao menos, uma especialização nas referidas áreas. Tutores e Preceptores atribuíram à falta de tempo e à fragilidade da relação ensino-serviço como dificuldades. Para os Residentes, a falta do Preceptor de núcleo ou a sobrecarga do Preceptor enfermeiro fragiliza a formação. A tutoria influenciou positivamente o exercício docente na Graduação; para os Preceptores, os PRMS-AB possibilitaram mudanças no processo de trabalho. Os Residentes avaliaram a AB como campo oportuno para atividades de núcleo.
