Adoption of a software tool as an instrument for time reduction in responses for transport accidents in the City of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Resumo: | Introduction: Pre-hospital emergency care is the first specialized aid to reach the victim in traffic accidents, and time is a fundamental response in this type of health problem. This time can undergo significant variations in all its stages. Objective: to analyze the adoption of a resource management software used in emergency relief contributed to improving APH relief vehicles' dispatch process and, consequently, reducing response time. Methodology: This is an exploratory and descriptive case study, carried out in two stages. In the first stage, a retrospective and cross-sectional study were carried out of the requests for help received by the CBMERJ Emergency Medical Regulation Center in 2018. In the second step, a qualitative evaluation was carried out, through a prospective cross-sectional study through data analysis from the said center, in 2019. Results and Discussion: Secondary data were used, referring to the care of victims of health problems, in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in 2018 and 2019 (n = 69,922) extracted from the database CBMERJ. After data treatment, duplicate, canceled, inconcludent, and TLIAs were removed (n = 31,600). Conclusion: There was an improvement in the time of activation of the response by 50.9%, demonstrating its effectiveness in implementing the tool. |

Esta vez puede sufrir variaciones importantes en todas sus etapas. En este contexto, el presente estudio tiene por objeto analizar si la adopción de un software de gestión de recursos utilizado en la ayuda de emergencia contribuyó a mejorar el proceso de envío de vehículos de rescate PHC y, en consecuencia, a reducir el tiempo de respuesta. Metodología: Se trata de un caso práctico exploratorio y descriptivo, realizado en dos etapas. En la primera etapa, se llevó a cabo un estudio retrospectivo y transversal de las solicitudes de socorro recibidas por el Centro de Regulación Médica de Emergencias del CBMERJ en 2018 y en la segunda etapa. se realizó una evaluación cualitativa, a través de un estudio transversal prospectivo a través del análisis de datos de ese centro en 2019. Resultados y discusión: Se utilizaron datos secundarios sobre la atención de víctimas de problemas de salud en la ciudad de Río de Janeiro, en los años 2018 y 2019 (n = 69.922) extraídos de la base de datos CBMERJ. Después del procesamiento de datos, se seleccionaron (n = 31.600). Conclusión: En el análisis de datos, se observó una mejora en el tiempo de activación de larespuestaen50,9 %, lo que demuestra la eficacia en la implementación de la herramienta.O atendimento pré-hospitalar de emergência é o primeiro socorro especializado a chegar até a vítima em casos de acidentes de trânsito, sendo o tempo resposta fundamental nesse tipo de agravo à saúde. Esse tempo pode sofrer variações importantes em todas as suas etapas. Objetivo: analisar se a adoção de um software de gestão de recursos utilizados em socorro de emergência contribuiu para melhorar o processo de despacho de viaturas de socorro de APH e, consequentemente, para a redução do tempo resposta. Metodologia: Trata-se de um estudo de caso com caráter exploratório e descritivo, realizado em duas etapas. Na primeira etapa, foi realizado estudo de caráter retrospectivo e transversal das solicitações de socorro recebidas pela Central de Regulação Médica de Urgência do CBMERJ no ano de 2018, e na segunda etapa foi realizada avaliação qualitativa, mediante estudo transversal prospectivo por meio da análise dos dados da referida central, no ano de 2019. Resultados e Discussão: Foram utilizados dados secundários, referentes ao atendimento às vítimas de agravo à saúde, no município do Rio de Janeiro, nos anos de 2018 e 2019 (n = 69.922) extraídos do banco de dados do CBMERJ. Após o tratamento de dados, tendo sido retirados eventos duplicados, cancelados, inconcludentes e, TLIAs, foram selecionados (n = 31.600).
