Monitoring and evaluation of the health of elementary school students in public schools

Resumo: | The main objective of this research was to analyze the methods of evaluation and monitoring of health in public schools for elementary school children. The methodological strategy is bibliographic and exploratory. Ten articles published from 2010 to 2021 were analyzed, all selected from the SciELO and LILACS database resulting from the descriptors: Health, Anthropometrics, Schools, Elementary School. Articles focused on assessment methods that are commonly used and methods that can be put into practice in public schools were analyzed. Among the main results found, it was possible to observe that BMI is a method most used in schools, but other methods such as WHR, WHR and WC, for example, would also be very effective for the evaluation and monitoring of the health of schoolchildren, in addition to the associations of these methods that in the research carried out are promising. Therefore, the association of assessment methods could be easily adopted in schools, due to the simplicity of the material used. In addition, this study also identified the scarcity of research focused on fundamental II, mainly referring to assessment methods in schoolchildren in this age group. |

La estrategia metodológica es bibliográfica y exploratoria. Se analizaron diez artículos publicados entre 2010 y 2021, todos seleccionados de la base de datos SciELO y LILACS resultantes de los descriptores: Salud, Antropometría, Escuelas, Escuela Primaria. Se analizaron artículos enfocados en los métodos de evaluación que se utilizan comúnmente y los métodos que se pueden poner en práctica en las escuelas públicas. Entre los principales resultados encontrados, se pudo observar que el IMC es un método más utilizado en las escuelas, pero otros métodos como WHR, WHtR y WC, por ejemplo, también serían muy efectivos para la evaluación y seguimiento de la salud de los niños. escolares, además de las asociaciones de estos métodos que en las investigaciones realizadas resultan promisorias. Por lo tanto, la asociación de métodos de evaluación podría adoptarse fácilmente en las escuelas, debido a la simplicidad del material utilizado. Además, este estudio también identificó la escasez de investigaciones centradas en el fundamental II, principalmente referidas a los métodos de evaluación en escolares de este grupo de edad.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo primordial analisar os métodos de avaliação e acompanhamento de saúde em escolas públicas para crianças do fundamental II. Como metodologia, adotou-se a revisão bibliográfica sistemática e exploratória. Foram analisados 10 artigos que foram publicados de 2010 a 2021, todos selecionados a partir do banco de dados do SciELO e LILACS resultantes dos descritores: Saúde, Antropométricos, Escolares, Ensino Fundamental. Analisaram-se artigos focados em métodos de avaliação que são comumente utilizados e métodos que podem ser inseridos na prática em escolas públicas. Dentre os principais resultados encontrados, foi possível observar que o IMC é um método mais utilizado em escolas, porém outros métodos como RCQ, RCE e CC por exemplo, também seriam muito eficazes para a avaliação e monitoramento da saúde de escolares, além das associações desses métodos que nas pesquisas realizadas se demonstram promissores. Portanto, a associação de métodos de avaliação poderia ser facilmente adotada em escolas, pela simplicidade de material utilizado.
