Sexual initiation in adolescente: women’s life narratives

Resumo: | Introduction: Sexual initiation is a remarkable episode in adolescence and (re) remembered in the adult life of women. Objective: To apprehend the experience of sexual initiation of women in adolescence. Methodology: Descriptive, qualitative research, used the life narra tive method. 08 women attended at a Basic Health Unit participated. The data collection was carried out from March to May 2018. The guiding question of the study was: “Tell me about your life that has to do with your sexual initiation ”. For data treatment, thematic analysis was used. Results: It was evidenced that all started their sexual activities in the adolescence period, without using condoms and four of them, became pregnant. They all knew of a contraceptive method and had used at least one of them, even if incorrectly. Conclusion: The importance of training health professionals involved in reproductive planning activities and in preventing STIs in all stages of the woman's life cycle, especially in adolescence, is emphasized. |

Objetivo: aprehender la experiencia de iniciación sexual de mujeres en la adolescencia. Metodología: Investigación descriptiva, cualitativa, utilizando el método narrativo de vida. Participaron 08 mujeres atendidas en una Unidad Básica de Salud. La recolección de datos se realizó de marzo a mayo de 2018. La pregunta orientadora del estudio fue: “Cuéntame de tu vida que tiene que ver con tu iniciación sexual ”. Para el tratamiento de los datos se utilizó el análisis temático. Resultados: Se evidenció que todas iniciaron sus actividades sexuales en el período de la adolescencia, sin usar condón y cuatro de ellas quedaron embarazadas. Todos conocían un método anticonceptivo y habían utilizado al menos uno de ellos, aun que fuera incorrecto. Conclusión: Se enfatiza la importancia de capacitar a los profesionales de la salud involucrados en las actividades de planificación reproductiva y en la prevención de ITS en todas las etapas del ciclo de vida de la mujer, especialmente en la adolescencia.Introdução: A iniciação sexual é um episódio marcante na adolescência e (re)lembrado na vida adulta da mulher. Objetivo: Apreender a experiência da iniciação sexual de mulheres na adolescência. Metodologia: Pesquisa descritiva, qualitativa, utilizou o método narrativa de vida. Participaram 08 mulheres atendidas em uma Unidade Básica de Saúde. A coleta de dados foi realizada no período de março a maio de 2018. A questão norteadora do estudo foi: “Fale-me a respeito de sua vida que tenha a ver com sua iniciação sexual”. Para tratamento dos dados utilizou-se a análise temática. Resultados: Evidenciou-se que todas iniciaram suas atividades sexuais no período da adolescência, sem o uso de preservativo e quatro delas, engravidaram. Todas conheciam algum método contraceptivo e haviam feito uso pelo menos de um deles, mesmo que de forma incorreta.
