Comparison of incentive, training conditions and motivation of female and male futsal athletes in teams from Paraná in Vale do Ivaí

Resumo: The present study aimed to compare the incentive, training conditions and motivational aspects of female and male futsal practitioners in the Vale do Ivaí region of the state of Paraná. The research was characterized as a qualitative and quantitative study and was composed of a sample of 16 athletes belonging to the under-15 and under-17 categories of 8 teams (4 female teams and 4 male teams) from the region of Vale do Ivaí, in addition to 6 coaches of the respective teams. The teams from the cities of Arapuã, Ivaiporã, Manoel Ribas and Jardim Alegre took part in the research. As instruments, a structured interview prepared by the researchers was used to investigate the training conditions and to assess the levels of motivation, the Sports Motivation Scale (SMS-2) was used. Data were collected individually with each participant (interviews and completion of the questionnaire. For data analysis, the distribution of relative and absolute frequencies was used to categorize the answers of the interviews, and, for quantitative data, the Shapiro-Shapiro test was used. Wilk and t test for independent samples, p<0.05 was adopted as a significance level. The results showed that even with lower structural conditions, female futsal athletes showed a higher level of intrinsic regulation motivation (p=0.038*) , regarding the comparisons of incentives and training conditions, it was observed that male athletes participate in a greater number of competitions, however, the resources and structures used for training and competitions are similar between genders. women participate in a smaller number of competitions and use similar structures, they are more motivated than male athletes. males for the investigated sample.

La investigación se caracterizó por ser un estudio cualitativo y cuantitativo y estuvo compuesta por una muestra de 16 atletas pertenecientes a las categorías sub-15 y sub-17 de 8 equipos (4 equipos femeninos y 4 equipos masculinos) de la región de Vale do Ivaí, además de 6 entrenadores de los respectivos equipos. Participaron de la investigación los equipos de los municipios de Arapuã, Ivaiporã, Manoel Ribas y Jardim Alegre. Como instrumentos se utilizó una entrevista estructurada elaborada por los investigadores para investigar las condiciones de entrenamiento y para evaluar los niveles de motivación se utilizó la Escala de Motivación Deportiva (SMS-2). Los datos fueron recolectados individualmente con cada participante (entrevistas y llenado del cuestionario). Para el análisis de los datos se utilizó la distribución de frecuencias relativas y absolutas para categorizar las respuestas de las entrevistas, y para los datos cuantitativos se utilizó la prueba de Shapiro-Shapiro. Como instrumentos foi utilizada uma entrevista estruturada elaborada pelos próprios pesquisadores para investigar as condições de treinamento e para avaliar os níveis de motivação foi utilizada a Escala de Motivação para o Esporte (SMS-2). Os dados foram coletados individualmente com cada participante (entrevistas e preenchimento do questionário. Para análise de dados utilizou-se a distribuição de frequências absoluta para categorizar as respostas das entrevistas, e, para os dados quantitativos utilizou-se o teste de Shapiro-Wilk e Teste t para amostras independentes. Adotou-se como nível de significância p<0,05. Os resultados evidenciaram que mesmo com condições estruturais inferiores, as atletas de futsal feminino apresentaram maior nível de motivação de regulação intrínseca (p=0,038*), quanto as comparações de incentivo e condições de treinamento foi observado que os atletas masculinos participam de um maior número de competições, entretanto, os recursos e estruturas utilizados para treinos e competições são semelhantes entre os gêneros.
