Teresina Entrepreneurs: profile and history of life

Resumo: This research studies female entrepreneurship. The objective is to present and discuss the characteristics of women entrepreneurs in Teresina-PI. An exploratory qualitative research is carried out with a sample of 20 women entrepreneurs that are included in the SEBRAE-PI database; for data collection, interviews with closed questions for demographic data, values, a script on life history and motives are used. Content analysis and descriptive statistics are used. As a result, the sample has a high age range, are married, from a large and low-income family, and undertook by necessity. Its main instrumental values are: honest, courageous; main terminal values: family security, true friendship. The reason identified is affiliantion. It is concluded that the research will contribute to support and promotion entities, considering the profile found, reinforce their action programs. Discussions with entrepreneurs about their own profile will serve for self-improvement.

El objetivo es presentar y discutir las características de las mujeres emprendedoras en Teresina-PI. Se realiza una investigación cualitativa exploratoria con una muestra de 20 mujeres empresarias que se encuentran incluidas en la base de datos del SEBRAE-PI; para la recolección de datos se utilizan entrevistas con preguntas cerradas para datos demográficos, valores, guión sobre la historia de vida y motivos. Se utilizan análisis de contenido y estadísticas descriptivas. Como resultado, la muestra tiene un grupo de edad alto, son casados, de familias numerosas y de escasos recursos, y emprenden por necesidad. Sus principales valores instrumentales son: honesto, valiente; Valores centrales terminales: seguridad familiar, amistad verdadera. El motivo identificado es la afiliación. Se concluye que la investigación contribuirá a que las entidades de apoyo y promoción, considerando el perfil encontrado, refuercen sus programas de acción. Las discusiones con los empresarios sobre su propio perfil servirán para la superación personal.Esta pesquisa estuda o empreendedorismo feminino. O objetivo é apresentar e discutir as características da mulher empreendedora em Teresina-PI. Realiza-se uma pesquisa qualitativa exploratória com amostra de 20 mulheres empreendedoras que constam na base de dados do SEBRAE-PI; para coleta de dados é utilizado entrevista com perguntas fechadas para os dados demográficos, os valores, um roteiro sobre a história de vida e os motivos. Utiliza-se análise de conteúdo e estatística descritiva. Como resultados, a amostra possui faixa etária elevada, são casadas, de família grande e de baixa renda, e empreenderam por necessidade. Tem como valores instrumentais principais: honesta, corajosa; valores terminais principais: segurança familiar, amizade verdadeira. O motivo identificado é afiliação. Conclui-se que a pesquisa contribuirá para que entidades de apoio e fomento, considerando o perfil encontrado, reforcem seus programas de ação.
