Augmented Reality in the Industry: a Bibliometric Analysis

Resumo: This research aims to show a bibliometric analysis with the goal of presenting the studies about augmented reality in the industry. The current situation of the worldwide industry reflects an increasing search for new Technologies to assist in management of production following, therefore, the concept of continuous improvement presented by Lean Manufacturing. A large part of improvements implemented in processes is based on the pillars of industry 4.0. With the high competitiveness present in this situation, the implementation of augmented reality in different industrial segments has presented results that show that it provides important achievements in processes wich is a technique that solve problems of non-compliance and quality, train employees more effectively, assist in preventive maintence and even generates more safety. Therefore, based on the expansion of augmented reality in the industrial environment, the need to understand the main uses of this technology through a revision of scientific literature is justified. For the bibliometric analysis of this article, the chooses platform was Scopus and the chosen period was from 2015 to 2019. With this analysis, it was noted the diversity of augmented reality applications in different countries and industrial sectors.

El actual escenario de la industria mundial refleja una búsqueda incesante de nuevas tecnologías que auxilien en la gestión de la producción siguiendo, así, el concepto de mejora continua presentado por Lean Manufacturing. Una gran parte de las mejoras implementadas en procesos tienen como base los pilares de la industria 4.0. Debido a la alta competitividad presente en ese escenario, la implementación de la realidad aumentada en diferentes segmentos industriales ha presentado resultados que muestran que proporciona ganancias significativas en procesos, ya que es una técnica que soluciona problemas de no conformidad y calidad, entrena a los empleados de manera eficaz, auxilia en mantenimientos preventivos e, incluso, genera una mayor seguridad. En consecuencia, con base en la expansión de la realidad aumentada en el ambiente industrial, se justifica la necesidad de comprensión de los principales usos de esa tecnología por medio de una revisión de la literatura científica. Para el análisis bibliométrico de este artículo se empleó la plataforma Scopus y el período elegido fue de 2015 a 2019. Con este análisis se constató la diversidad de aplicaciones de la realidad aumentada en diferentes países y sectores industriales.Esta pesquisa visa apresentar uma análise bibliométrica com o objetivo de apresentar os estudos sobre a realidade aumentada na indústria. O atual cenário da indústria mundial reflete uma busca incessante por novas tecnologias que auxiliem na gestão da produção seguindo, dessa forma, o conceito de melhoria contínua apresentado pelo Lean Manufacturing. Grande parte das melhorias implementadas em processos tem como base os pilares da indústria 4.0. Com a alta competitividade presente nesse cenário, a implementação da realidade aumentada em diferentes segmentos industriais tem apresentado resultados que mostram que ela proporciona ganhos importantes em processos, já que é uma técnica que soluciona problemas de não conformidade e qualidade, treina os funcionários de maneira mais eficaz, auxilia em manutenções preventivas e até gera uma maior segurança. Sendo assim, com base na expansão da realidade aumentada no ambiente industrial, justifica-se a necessidade de compreensão dos principais usos dessa tecnologia por meio de uma revisão da literatura científica.
