Resumo: | The purpose of this study is to review the existing literature on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the study of histology. The focus of this review is to discuss the importance of ICTs as a complement to practical laboratory activities as a tool capable of increasing the interaction of students with the discipline, as well as favoring their perception of histological cuts. In addition to addressing issues inherent to the theme, such as decreasing time in laboratory activities and reducing laboratory costs. As it is a literature review, for its production, the following databases were consulted: Virtual Health Library (VHL), Medical Publications (PubMed), Medline and the Scientific Electronic Electronic Library online library (SCIELO). To carry out such research, the Health Science Descriptors (DeCS) were used: Histology, information technology, internet. According to the studied literature, ICTs proved to be a great alternative to reducing the workload and resources for the use and maintenance of laboratories such as optical microscopy. They also contributed, according to the literature used, to improve the quality of the teaching-learning process. This fact has made many institutions seek, in recent years, solutions in ICTs, which have provided the student with better use and greater time of contact with the theoretical and practical contents of this basic discipline. In this way, we can say that ICTs have helped to achieve a better performance and use of students in relation to the subject of General Histology |
