Resumo: Objective: To reveal the phenomenon of perception about the experience of people undergoing an amputation. Methods: Qualitative study, with a phenomenological approach. Data collection took place from April to December 2018, seven people were interviewed who were in the immediate postoperative period, admitted to a public hospital. Results: With the knowledge of the experience of the experience of the Being-amputee, he revealed that after the amputation the subject continues to perceive himself whole. Conclusion: With the loss of part of his body, the individual has his body image altered and for the acceptance of amputation and rehabilitation to occur satisfactorily, it is necessary that the multidisciplinary health team dedicates itself to qualified listening in addition to the aspects biophysiological aspects of the subject and make use of the trajectory experienced throughout the health-disease process.

Métodos: Estudio cualitativo, con enfoque fenomenológico. La recolección de datos se realizó de abril a diciembre de 2018, se entrevistó a siete personas que se encontraban en el postoperatorio inmediato, ingresadas en un hospital público. Resultados: Con el conocimiento de la experiencia de la experiencia del Ser-amputado, reveló que luego de la amputación el sujeto continúa percibiéndose íntegro. Conclusión: Con la pérdida de parte de su cuerpo, el individuo tiene alterada su imagen corporal y para que la aceptación de la amputación y rehabilitación se produzca de manera satisfactoria, es necesario que el equipo multidisciplinario de salud se dedique a la escucha calificada además de los aspectos aspectos biofisiológicos de la asignatura y aprovechar la trayectoria vivida a lo largo del proceso salud-enfermedad.Objetivo: Desvelar o fenômeno da percepção acerca da experiência de pessoas submetidas a uma amputação. Métodos: Estudo qualitativo, com abordagem fenomenológica. A coleta de dados ocorreu no período de abril a dezembro de 2018, sete pessoas foram entrevistadas as quais estavam no período pós-operatório mediato, internadas em um hospital público. Resultados: De posse do conhecimento da experiência do vivido pelo Ser-amputado desvelou que após a amputação o sujeito continua-se percebendo inteiro.
