Resumo: Objective: to identify the partner's participation in prenatal care. Method: integrative literature review conducted in electronic databases MEDLINE via Pubmed, SCOPUS, CINAHL and LILACS, in the period from 2010 to 2020. The included studies were submitted to content analysis. Results: 22 studies published in the period from 2010 to 2019 were included. Data were analyzed according to five thematic categories: 1) Partner's experiences in prenatal care and the overview of participation, 2) Facilitators and barriers to partner's participation in prenatal care, 3) Pregnant women's views on partner's participation in prenatal care, and 4) Nurses' challenges to the effectiveness of partner's participation in prenatal care. Conclusion: Partner participation was low and associated with both positive and negative experiences. This highlights the importance of training nurses for an integral, inclusive, and respectful care, which includes the partner in the care plan.

Método: revisión bibliográfica integradora realizada en las bases de datos electrónicas MEDLINE a través de Pubmed, SCOPUS, CINAHL y LILACS, en el período de 2010 a 2020. Los estudios incluidos se sometieron a un análisis de contenido. Resultados: Se incluyeron 22 estudios publicados en el periodo comprendido entre 2010 y 2019. Los datos se analizaron según cinco categorías temáticas: 1) Experiencias de la pareja en la atención prenatal y panorama general de la participación, 2) Facilitadores y barreras para la participación de la pareja en la atención prenatal, 3) Opiniones de las embarazadas sobre la participación de la pareja en la atención prenatal y 4) Retos de las enfermeras para la eficacia de la participación de la pareja en la atención prenatal. Conclusión: La participación de los socios resultó ser baja y se asoció con experiencias tanto positivas como negativas. Esto pone de manifiesto la importancia de formar a las enfermeras para una atención integral, inclusiva y respetuosa, que incluya a la pareja en el plan de cuidados.Objetivo: identificar a participação do parceiro na assistência pré-natal. Método: revisão integrativa da literatura realizada nas bases de dados eletrônicas MEDLINE via Pubmed, SCOPUS, CINAHL e LILACS, no período de 2010 a 2020. Os estudos incluídos foram submetidos à análise de conteúdo. Resultados: Foram incluídos 22 estudos publicados no período de 2010 a 2019. Os dados foram analisados segundo cinco categorias temáticas: 1) Experiências do parceiro no pré-natal e o panorama geral de da participação, 2) Facilitadores e barreiras da participação do parceiro no pré-natal, 3) Visão das gestantes sobre a participação do parceiro no pré-natal e 4) Desafios dos enfermeiros para a efetivação da participação do parceiro no pré-natal. Conclusão: A participação do parceiro se mostrou baixa e associada tanto a experiências positivas, quanto negativas.
