Analysis of the scientific production of the National Institutes of Nanotechnology Science and Technology

Resumo: | The National Institutes of Science and Technology related to nanotechnology have been contributing to the production of scientific and technological research that can help in the development of new products and processes. This research aims to carry out a bibliometric analysis of the scientific production of the National Institutes of Science and Technology (INCTs) related to nanotechnology. The methodology consists of a quantitative exploratory research, which carried out a bibliometric analysis with data from the publications of nanotechnology INCTs, being analyzed a sample of two institutes that highlighted the scientific productions on their websites. The results indicated that scientific production has been growing between 2009 and 2020, however, it was noted that this production dropped from 2019 onwards, highlighting the need to explore more research in these institutes. Also, a keyword map was carried out, through the 118 documents found on INCTs in the Scopus database, highlighting words such as patents, research and technological development. And in the case of INCTs focused on nanotechnology, it was noted that the scientific productions showed the application of research to the area of medicine, and in the map developed based on these analyzed INCTs, the word nanoparticles appeared with greater evidence. Thus, it is understood that it is necessary to analyze the research that is being developed on nanotechnology, so that other studies can be explored on this topic, thus favoring the emergence of new products and processes. |

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo realizar un análisis bibliométrico de la producción científica de los Institutos Nacionales de Ciencia y Tecnología (INCTs) relacionada con la nanotecnología. La metodología consiste en una investigación exploratoria cuantitativa, que realizó un análisis bibliométrico con datos de las publicaciones de los INCT de nanotecnología, analizándose una muestra de dos institutos que destacaron las producciones científicas en sus sitios web. Los resultados indicaron que la producción científica ha ido creciendo entre 2009 y 2020, sin embargo, se observó que esta producción disminuyó a partir de 2019, destacando la necesidad de explorar más investigaciones en estos institutos. Asimismo, se realizó un mapa de palabras clave, a través de los 118 documentos encontrados sobre INCTs en la base de datos Scopus, destacando palabras como patentes, investigación y desarrollo tecnológico. Y en el caso de los INCT enfocados a la nanotecnología, se observó que las producciones científicas mostraban la aplicación de la investigación al área de la medicina, y en el mapa elaborado a partir de estos INCT analizados, aparecía con mayor evidencia la palabra nanopartículas. Así, se entiende que es necesario analizar las investigaciones que se están desarrollando sobre nanotecnología, para que se puedan explorar otros estudios sobre este tema, favoreciendo así el surgimiento de nuevos productos y procesos.Os Institutos Nacionais de Ciência e Tecnologia relacionados à nanotecnologia vêm contribuindo com a produção de pesquisas científicas e tecnológicas que podem auxiliar no desenvolvimento de novos produtos e processos. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo realizar uma análise bibliométrica da produção científica dos Institutos Nacionais de Ciência e Tecnologia (INCTs) relacionados à nanotecnologia. A metodologia consiste numa pesquisa exploratória quantitativa, que realizou uma análise bibliométrica com dados das publicações dos INCTs de nanotecnologia, sendo analisada uma amostra de dois institutos que destacaram as produções científicas em seus sites. Os resultados indicaram que a produção científica vem crescendo entre os anos de 2009 a 2020, porém, notou-se que essa produção caiu a partir 2019, evidenciando a necessidade de explorar mais pesquisas nesses institutos. Ainda, foi realizado um mapa de palavras-chave, por meio dos 118 documentos encontrados sobre INCTs na base Scopus, evidenciando palavras como patentes, pesquisa e desenvolvimento tecnológico. E no caso dos INCTs voltados à nanotecnologia, notou-se que as produções científicas mostraram a aplicação das pesquisas à area de medicina, sendo que no mapa desenvolvido com base nesses INCTs analisados, a palavra nanopartículas apareceu com maior evidência. Dessa forma, entende-se que é necessário analisar as pesquisas que estão sendo desenvolvidas sobre nanotecnologia, para que outros estudos possam ser explorados sobre essa temática, favorecendo, assim, o surgimento de novos produtos e processos.
