The use of technologies to reduce environmental impacts in the intensification of beef cattle

Resumo: | Brazilian beef cattle has increased significantly. As a result, questions about the environmental problems caused by the production of beef on pasture have also increased. The emission of gases that contribute to the greenhouse effect is the main problem of beef cattle. The search for technologies that reduce the emission of gases by cattle and improve the sustainability of the system is growing. Among the studies proposed in this regard, pasture management, the use of fertilizers associated with biotechnologies and the integration of systems have been highlighted. The rotational management has enabled better use of the forage mass, allowing it to maintain the soil cover, preventing its degradation. While the use of nitrogen fertilizers associated with biotechnologies such as the use of growth-promoting bacteria has provided an increase in the cycling of nutrients in the soil, improving the quality of forage reflecting in production. Finally, the use of integrated systems has proved to be an alternative that, in addition to promoting production sustainability, promotes a diversified income for the producer. Thus, the work aims to present information about the use of technologies to minimize the effects of beef production on the environment. |

Como resultado, también han aumentado las preguntas sobre los problemas ambientales causados por la producción de carne de res en pastos. La emisión de gases que contribuyen al efecto invernadero es el principal problema del ganado vacuno. Crece la búsqueda de tecnologías que reduzcan la emisión de gases por parte del ganado y mejoren la sostenibilidad del sistema. Entre los estudios propuestos al respecto se han destacado el manejo de pastos, el uso de fertilizantes asociados a biotecnologías y la integración de sistemas. El manejo rotacional ha permitido un mejor aprovechamiento de la masa forrajera, permitiéndole mantener la cobertura del suelo, evitando su degradación. Mientras que el uso de fertilizantes nitrogenados asociado a biotecnologías como el uso de bacterias promotoras del crecimiento ha proporcionado un incremento en el ciclo de nutrientes en el suelo, mejorando la calidad del forraje reflejándose en la producción. Finalmente, el uso de sistemas integrados ha demostrado ser una alternativa que, además de promover la sostenibilidad productiva, promueve un ingreso diversificado para el productor. Por lo tanto, el trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar información sobre el uso de tecnologías para minimizar los efectos de la producción de carne vacuna en el medio ambiente.A bovinocultura de corte brasileira tem aumentado significativamente. Em consequência disso os questionamentos sobre os problemas ambientais causados pela produção de carne bovina a pasto também tem aumentado. A emissão de gases que contribuem para o efeito estufa é o principal problema da pecuária de corte. A busca por tecnologias que diminuam a emissão de gases pelos bovinos e melhorem a sustentabilidade do sistema é crescente. Dentre os estudos propostos nesse sentido tem tido destaque o manejo das pastagens, o uso de fertilizantes associados a biotecnologias e a integração de sistemas. O manejo rotacionado tem possibilitado melhor aproveitamento da massa de forragem permitindo que a mesma se mantenha a cobertura do solo evitando a sua degradação. Enquanto que o uso de fertilizantes nitrogenados associados a biotecnologias como uso de bactérias promotoras de crescimento tem proporcionado um aumento da ciclagem de nutrientes no solo, melhorando a qualidade da forragem refletindo na produção. Por fim o uso de sistemas integrados tem se mostrado uma alternativa que além de promover a sustentabilidade da produção, promove uma renda diversificada ao produtor.
