Resumo: | The challenges experienced by multiprofessional residents in the face of palliative sedation, and the need for training to train ethical, humane and reflective professionals in palliative care are impasses that directly reflect on patient care. The objective of this present work is to discuss the perception of multiprofessional residents in the face of oncological palliative sedation based on an analysis of scientific articles on the subject. This is an integrative review including primary articles indexed in the LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, IBECS and COLECIONA SUS databases, as recommended by the PRISMA tool, published from 2017 onwards. After analysis, it was observed that the publications involved related aspects, categorizing 03 main themes: Bioethical perception of residents on palliative sedation; perception of good practices in palliative sedation and perception of residents' professional training on palliative sedation. A large gap in the topic addressed was identified. All these aspects have a direct impact on the performance of residents in the process of approaching oncological palliative sedation due to insecurity and unpreparedness, making it necessary to approach the topic in the training of these professionals. |

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo discutir la percepción de los residentes multiprofesionales frente a la sedación paliativa oncológica a partir del análisis de artículos científicos sobre el tema. Se trata de una revisión integradora que incluye artículos primarios indexados en las bases de datos LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, IBECS y COLECIONA SUS, según lo recomendado por la herramienta PRISMA, publicados a partir de 2017. Después del análisis, se observó que las publicaciones involucraban aspectos relacionados, categorizando 03 temas principales: Percepción bioética de los residentes sobre la sedación paliativa; percepción de buenas prácticas en sedación paliativa y percepción de la formación profesional de los residentes en sedación paliativa. Se identificó un gran vacío en el tema abordado. Todos estos aspectos repercuten directamente en la actuación de los residentes en el proceso de abordaje de la sedación paliativa oncológica debido a la inseguridad y falta de preparación, siendo necesario el abordaje del tema en la formación de estos profesionales.Os desafios vivenciados pelos residentes multiprofissionais diante da sedação paliativa, e a necessidade de capacitação para a formação de profissionais éticos, humanos e reflexivos na assistência em cuidados paliativos, são impasses que refletem diretamente na assistência prestada ao paciente. O objetivo deste presente trabalho é discorrer acerca da percepção dos residentes multiprofissionais frente a sedação paliativa oncológica com base em uma análise de artigos científicos sobre o tema. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa incluindo artigos primários indexados nas bases de dados LILACS, MEDLINE, BDENF, IBECS e COLECIONA SUS, conforme recomendações da ferramenta PRISMA, publicados a partir de 2017. Após análise foi observado que as publicações envolveram aspectos relacionados, categorizando 03 temas principais: Percepção bioética dos residentes sobre sedação paliativa; percepção de boas práticas da sedação paliativa e percepção da formação profissional dos residentes sobre sedação paliativa. Identificou-se uma grande lacuna do tema abordado.
