Measures of performance by means of objective tests versus experimental practices: the opinions of the students

Resumo: | The use of only one data collection instrument, such as traditional objective evidence, can be disastrous from the point of view of learning assessment, which is not always effective in assessing what the learner has learned; however, several instruments may be used for this purpose. Thus, a research was carried out seeking to answer the following question:Is it in the students' opinion, only the test tests, sufficient to evaluate their learning?Therefore, the present article is the result of this qualitative research that was carried out with a class of a technical course in chemistry with the purpose of verifying the students' opinions on the methods of evaluation of the discipline, being then questioned about their preferences regarding the application of test tests or experiments performed at home. The result showed almost unanimously that they prefer the low complexity experiments that they frequently do at home during the semester on teacher orientation and mediation. In addition to the questionnaire applied to the 29 students studied, a brief bibliographic review was carried out on the evaluation processes to substantiate and corroborate with the study. |

Siendo así, una encuesta fue realizada buscando responder la siguiente pregunta: ¿En la opinión de los alumnos, sólo las pruebas, son suficientes para evaluar su aprendizaje? Por lo tanto, el presente artículo es el resultado de esta investigación ora cualitativa que fue realizada con una clase de un curso medio técnico en química con el fin de verificar las opiniones de los alumnos sobre los métodos de evaluación de la disciplina, siendo entonces cuestionados sobre sus preferencias en relación a la relación la aplicación de pruebas de pruebas o de experimentos realizados en casa. El resultado demostró casi por unanimidad que prefieren los experimentos de baja complejidad que realizan a menudo en casa durante el semestre sobre la orientación y mediación del docente. Además del cuestionario aplicado a los 29 alumnos encuestados, se realizó una breve revisión bibliográfica sobre los procesos de evaluación para fundamentar y corroborar con el estudio.A utilização de apenas um instrumento de coleta de dados, como as provas objetivas tradicionais pode ser desastrosa do ponto de vista da avaliação da aprendizagem que nem sempre são efetivas para aferir o que o aluno aprendeu, contudo, diversos instrumentos poderão utilizados para tal. Sendo assim, uma pesquisa foi realizada buscando responder a seguinte pergunta: Será que na opinião os alunos, apenas as provas testes, são suficientes para avaliar a sua aprendizagem? Logo, o presente artigo é resultado desta pesquisa qualitativa que foi realizada com uma turma de um curso médio técnico em química com o intuito de verificar as opiniões dos alunos sobre os métodos de avaliação da disciplina, sendo então questionados sobre suas preferências em relação à aplicação de provas testes ou de experimentos realizados em casa. O resultado demonstrou quase por unanimidade que preferem os experimentos de baixa complexidade que realizam frequentemente em casa durante o semestre sobre a orientação e mediação do docente.
