Possible sense effects on reading about biotechnology in a textbook

Resumo: | Considering that Biotechnology has many controversies, in this research we try to understand how biotechnological themes appear in a textbook. For this, we analyze how written structure and images, present in a chapter of a high school biology textbook, can contribute to the production of meanings about biotechnological products and the controversies associated with them. As a theoretical and methodological support, we joined the Pecheutian Discourse Analysis, mainly in productions by Eni Orlandi. We start from the relation between form and content, considering some principles and notions, such as power relations, anticipation mechanisms and discursive formations, in order to understand the production of meanings from the image-text interaction. Based on the stated assumptions, we point out that these images have a dependence on the text so that they can join a biotechnological discourse, which can go against the production of meanings expected from the teaching point of view. We also point out that it is from a game between discursive typologies (pedagogical, scientific and daily discourse) that the text of the textbook is constructed. |

Para eso, analizamos como textos escritos e imágenes, presentes en un capítulo de un libro didáctico de Biología de la Enseñanza Média, pueden contribuir para la producción de significados sobre productos biotecnológicos y sobre controversias para asociados. Como soporte teórico-metodológico, nos sumamos al Análisis del Discurso Pecheutiano, principalmente en las producciones de Eni Orlandi. Partimos de la relación entre forma y contenido, considerando algunos principios y conceptos, como relaciones de poder, mecanismos de anticipación y formaciones discursivas, para entender la producción de significados a partir de la interacción imagen-texto. De los enunciados realizados asumimos que estas imágenes tienen una dependencia del texto para que puedan relacionarse con un discurso biotecnológico, o que puedan cumplir con la producción de significados esperados desde el punto de vista de la docencia. También asumimos que es a partir de un juego entre tipologías discursivas (discurso pedagógico, científico y cotidiano) que se construye el texto del libro didáctico.Considerando que a Biotecnologia possui muitas controvérsias, neste trabalho procuramos compreender como temas biotecnológicos aparecem num livro didático. Para isso, analisamos como textos escritos e imagens, presentes num capítulo de um livro didático de Biologia do Ensino Médio, podem contribuir para a produção de sentidos sobre os produtos biotecnológicos e sobre controvérsias a eles associados. Como apoio teórico-metodológico nos filiamos à Análise de Discurso pecheutiana, principalmente em produções de Eni Orlandi. Partimos da relação entre forma e conteúdo, considerando alguns princípios e noções, tais como relações de força, mecanismos de antecipação e formações discursivas, para compreendermos a produção de sentidos a partir da interação imagem-texto. Com base nos pressupostos enunciados, apontamos que essas imagens possuem uma dependência do texto para que possam se filiar a um discurso biotecnológico, o que pode ir de encontro à produção de sentidos esperados do ponto de vista do ensino.
