The education of pharmacists as a tool to improve the use of medicines in dyslipidemic patients: knowing the importance of rational use and health promotion measures

Resumo: | The study aimed to evaluate the level of knowledge of pharmacists about the Clinical Protocol and Therapeutic Guidelines (CPTG)/Dyslipidemia, before and after training, for the implementation of clinical services in a public pharmacy for dispensing specialized medicines and the perception of dyslipidemic users attended at this pharmacy, on the use, adverse reactions and health promotion measures, before and after the implementation of pharmaceutical care. This was a cross-sectional, observational, descriptive and qualitative study on the perception of patients regarding the use of medicines and health promotion measures, and cross-sectional, observational and descriptive in relation to the level of knowledge of pharmacists about the treatment and protocol of dyslipidemia, before and after training on CPTG/Dyslipidemia. After the implementation of pharmaceutical care, patients showed a significant change in their perception of the reason for and the need to use the medicines, the correct way to use these medicines, as well as the need to adopt a healthy diet and physical activity. After training pharmacists on CPTG/Dyslipidemia, there was an improvement in patient orientation, which can be seen by evaluating the perception of these patients about the importance of correct use of their medicines and lifestyle changes after training. In conclusion, it is understood that the training and updating of the pharmacist are important, as well as, it is necessary for this professional to act directly in the dispensing of medicines and patient guidance to promote the rational use of medicines and health promotion. |

In conclusion, it is understood that the training and updating of the pharmacist are important, as well as, it is necessary for this professional to act directly in the dispensing of medicines and patient guidance to promote the rational use of medicines and health promotion.El estudio tuvo como objetivo evaluar el nivel de conocimiento de los farmacéuticos sobre el Protocolo Clínico y Guías Terapéuticas (PCGT)/Dislipidemia, antes y después de la capacitación, para la implementación de servicios clínicos en una farmacia pública para la dispensación de medicamentos especializados y la percepción de los usuarios dislipidémicos atendidos en esta farmacia, sobre el uso, reacciones adversas y medidas de promoción de la salud, antes y después de la implementación de la atención farmacéutica. Se trata de un estudio transversal, observacional, descriptivo y cualitativo sobre la percepción de los pacientes respecto al uso de medicamentos y medidas de promoción de la salud, y transversal, observacional y descriptivo en relación al nivel de conocimiento de los farmacéuticos sobre el tratamiento y protocolo de dislipidemia, antes y después del entrenamiento en CGT/Dislipidemia. Después de la implementación de la atención farmacéutica, los pacientes mostraron un cambio significativo en su percepción de la razón y la necesidad de usar los medicamentos, la forma correcta de usar estos medicamentos, así como la necesidad de adoptar una dieta saludable y actividad física. Después de capacitar a los farmacéuticos sobre PCGT/Dislipidemia, hubo una mejora en la orientación de los pacientes, lo que se puede ver al evaluar la percepción de estos pacientes sobre la importancia del uso correcto de sus medicamentos y los cambios en el estilo de vida después de la capacitación. En conclusión, se entiende que es importante la formación y actualización del farmacéutico, así como, es necesario que este profesional actúe directamente en la dispensación de medicamentos y la orientación al paciente para promover el uso racional de los medicamentos y la promoción de la salud.O estudo objetivou avaliar o nível de conhecimento dos farmacêuticos sobre o Protocolo Clínico e Diretrizes Terapêuticas (PCDT)/Dislipidemia, antes e após treinamento, para implantação de serviços clínicos em farmácia pública de dispensação de medicamentos especializados e a percepção de usuários dislipidêmicos atendidos nesta farmácia, sobre o uso, as reações adversas e medidas de promoção da saúde, antes e após a implantação do cuidado farmacêutico. Tratou-se de um estudo transversal, observacional, descritivo e qualitativo sobre a percepção dos pacientes quanto ao uso de medicamentos e as medidas de promoção da saúde e transversal, observacional e descritivo em relação ao nível de conhecimento dos farmacêuticos sobre tratamento e protocolo da dislipidemia, antes e após um treinamento sobre o PCD/Dislipidemia. Após a implantação do cuidado farmacêutico, os pacientes apresentaram mudança significativa na percepção sobre o motivo e a necessidade do uso dos medicamentos, sobre a forma correta de usar esses medicamentos, assim como a necessidade de adoção de uma alimentação saudável e prática de atividade física. Após o treinamento dos farmacêuticos sobre o PCDT/Dislipidemia observou-se uma melhora na orientação aos pacientes, que pode ser percebida por meio da avaliação da percepção destes pacientes sobre a importância do uso correto de seus medicamentos e mudanças no estilo de vida após a capacitação. Na conclusiva, entende-se que são importantes a capacitação e a atualização do farmacêutico, bem como, é necessário que esse profissional atue diretamente na dispensação de medicamentos e orientação ao paciente para promoção do uso racional de medicamentos e promoção da saúde do mesmo.
