Resumo: | This article aims to evaluate the current layout of a furniture make-to-order shop floor in Itabira-MG. The chosen process was the manufacturing of Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF) tables. The analysis is done through conceptual modeling called IDEF-SIM and dynamic simulation through the software FlexSim. The results prove the intense use of labor that is frequent in make-to-order production companies of the sector and suggests new studies of physical arrangement to optimize the productivity of the company. |

El proceso de fabricación elegido fue el de las mesas de Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF). El análisis se realiza a través del modelado conceptual llamado IDEF-SIM y la simulación dinámica a través del software FlexSim. Los resultados demuestran el intenso uso de mano de obra que es frecuente en las empresas de producción a medida del sector y sugiere nuevos estudios de disposición física para optimizar la productividad de la empresa.Este artigo tem como objetivo a avaliação do layout atual do chão de fábrica de uma microempresa do setor moveleiro em Itabira-MG. O processo de fabricação escolhido foi o de mesas em Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF). A análise foi feita por meio da modelagem conceitual denominada IDEF-SIM e simulação dinâmica através do software FlexSim.
