Proposal for a pedagogical intervention in EPT: the problem of waste electrical and electronic equipment

Resumo: The growing use of electronics associated with the rapid obsolescence of these goods, generates, proportionally, the accumulation of waste, also called “technological waste”. By improperly disposing of these products, in addition to wasting raw material that is already scarce on the planet, it also compromises environmental health. Based on this assumption, the objective of this work is to present a proposal for a pedagogical intervention at the heart of the problem of the final destination of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), from Reverse Logistics (LR), using strategies of Environmental Education (EA). For this, the approach of interdisciplinarity and transversality, in the environment of Vocational and Technological Education (EPT), outlines the methodological path, reaching the structuring axes Environment, Health and Safety, as well as Technological, Information and Communication. The qualitative approach, exploratory objective and bibliographic procedures were used as research typology. However, the propositions presented here may reflect on the learning process, which is complex, continuous and challenging, and on the training of professionals who meet the demands of contemporary society.

El creciente uso de la electrónica asociado a la rápida obsolescencia de estos bienes, genera, proporcionalmente, la acumulación de residuos, también llamados “residuos tecnológicos”. Al desechar de manera inadecuada estos productos, además de desperdiciar materia prima que ya escasea en el planeta, también compromete la salud ambiental. A partir de este supuesto, el objetivo de este trabajo es presentar una propuesta de intervención pedagógica en el centro de la problemática del destino final de los Residuos de Aparatos Eléctricos y Electrónicos (RAEE), desde la Logística Inversa (LR), utilizando estrategias de Gestión Ambiental. Educación (EA). Para eso, el enfoque de interdisciplinariedad y transversalidad, en el ámbito de la Educación Profesional y Tecnológica (EPT), perfila el camino metodológico, alcanzando los ejes estructurantes Medio Ambiente, Salud y Seguridad, así como Tecnología, Información y Comunicación. Se utilizó como tipología de investigación el enfoque cualitativo, objetivo exploratorio y procedimientos bibliográficos. Sin embargo, las proposiciones aquí presentadas pueden reflexionar sobre el proceso de aprendizaje, que es complejo, continuo y desafiante, y sobre la formación de profesionales que atiendan las demandas de la sociedad contemporánea. O uso crescente de eletroeletrônicos associado a rápida obsolescência desses bens, gera, proporcionalmente, o acúmulo de resíduos, também denominados “lixo tecnológico”. Ao descartar esses produtos de maneira inadequada, além de desperdiçar a matéria-prima já escassa no planeta, também compromete a saúde ambiental. Partindo desse pressuposto, o objetivo deste trabalho consiste em apresentar uma proposta de intervenção pedagógica no cerne da problemática de destino final dos Resíduos de Equipamentos Eletroeletrônicos (REEE), a partir da Logística Reversa (LR), utilizando estratégias da Educação Ambiental (EA). Para isso, a abordagem da interdisciplinaridade e transversalidade, no ambiente da Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT), desenha o percurso metodológico, com alcance os eixos estruturantes Ambiente, Saúde e Segurança, bem como Tecnológico, Informação e Comunicação. Utilizou-se como tipologia da pesquisa a abordagem qualitativa, objetivo exploratória e procedimentos de ordem bibliográfica.
