Resumo: The aim of this study was to evaluate the presence of symptoms of anxiety, depression and stress in patients with overweight anxiety at the Integrated Health Care Clinic of Centro Universitário Una, Belo Horizonte. Men and women, aged between 19 and 52 years, Body Mass Index (BMI)> 25 kg / m² were included. Beck Depression Inventory - BDI, Beck Anxiety Inventory - BAI and Perceived Stress Scale - PSS14 were filled by customers. The study was submitted and approved by the Ethics and Research Committee of Centro Universitário Una. 63 overweight and obese individuals participated, 83% (n = 52) women and 17% (n = 11) men, median age 34 years, median BMI 31.2 kg / m². 63% of individuals indicated symptoms of depression, 73% anxiety and 97% stress. Overweight patients seen at the CIAS show symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress. The higher the BMI, the more symptoms of depression and anxiety the overweight individual has. This situation worsens in patients with symptoms of depression, as they also present symptoms for anxiety and in patients with symptoms of anxiety who also have symptoms of stress. A joint approach between the nutritionist and the psychologist is necessary to fully assess the individual, since obesity can be a factor causing behavioral disorders and vice versa.
