Resumo: Dermatological diseases are a common complaint in healthcare services in Brazil, especially in primary care. Therefore, it is crucial for general practitioners to possess the ability to diagnose and treat these conditions appropriately, aiming to minimize the impact on the quality of life of their patients. However, several obstacles hinder the performance of these professionals in dermatology, directly affecting the diagnosis and treatment of skin disorders in primary care. Given this scenario, a thorough analysis of key structural issues was conducted, with an emphasis on the doctor-patient dynamic and the training of physicians in primary care. The study underscored the need for in-depth investigation during undergraduate education and in the remnants of the post-colonial period, with the purpose of establishing concepts based on medical education issues and structural challenges related to Brazil's historical-economic development.

Por lo tanto, es fundamental que los médicos generales posean la capacidad de diagnosticar y tratar estas condiciones de manera adecuada, con el objetivo de minimizar el impacto en la calidad de vida de sus pacientes. Sin embargo, varios obstáculos dificultan la actuación de estos profesionales en dermatología, afectando directamente el diagnóstico y tratamiento de enfermedades cutáneas en la atención primaria. Ante este escenario, se llevó a cabo un análisis exhaustivo de las principales cuestiones estructurales, con énfasis en la dinámica médico-paciente y en la formación de los médicos que trabajan en la atención primaria. El estudio resaltó la necesidad de una investigación minuciosa durante la formación universitaria y en los vestigios del período poscolonial, con el propósito de establecer conceptos basados en problemas educativos médicos y en los desafíos estructurales relacionados con el desarrollo histórico-económico de Brasil.As doenças dermatológicas representam uma queixa frequente nos serviços de saúde no Brasil, especialmente na atenção primária. Portanto, é fundamental que os médicos generalistas possuam a habilidade de diagnosticar e tratar essas condições de forma apropriada, com o intuito de minimizar o impacto na qualidade de vida de seus pacientes. Contudo, diversos obstáculos dificultam a atuação desses profissionais em dermatologia, impactando diretamente no diagnóstico e tratamento de enfermidades cutâneas na atenção primária. Diante desse cenário, realizou-se uma análise aprofundada das principais questões estruturais, com ênfase na dinâmica médico-paciente e na formação dos médicos que atuam na atenção primária.
