Resumo: This study aims to reflect on the actions taken by nurses about the environment and sustainability with a view to promoting the health of individuals. This is a theoretical-reflective study based on references worked in the discipline Nursing Work / health in the socioenvironmental context, during the first semester of 2019 of the Doctoral Program in Nursing of the Graduate Program in Nursing at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande and critical reading on the topic. The results were given through two thematic axes: relationship between environment and human health; Nursing actions focused on the environment / sustainability aimed at promoting the health of individuals. It is concluded that when contemplating actions to encourage sustainability in nursing consultations, in promoting health education activities with an environmental purpose of care, it becomes an important tool in the empowerment of the community, since they are no longer supporting and become main actors.

Este es un estudio teórico-reflexivo basado en referencias trabajadas en la disciplina Trabajo de Enfermería / salud en el contexto socioambiental, durante el primer semestre de 2019 del Programa de Doctorado en Enfermería del Programa de Posgrado en Enfermería de la Universidade Federal do Río Grande y lectura crítica sobre el tema. Los resultados se dieron a través de dos ejes temáticos: relación entre medio ambiente y salud humana; Acciones de enfermería centradas en el medio ambiente / sostenibilidad destinadas a promover la salud de las personas. Se concluye que al contemplar acciones para alentar la sostenibilidad en las consultas de enfermería, en la promoción de actividades de educación para la salud con un propósito ambiental de atención, se convierte en una herramienta importante en el empoderamiento de la comunidad, ya que ya no están apoyando y convertirse en actores principales.Este estudo tem como objetivo refletir sobre as ações realizadas pelos enfermeiros acerca do meio ambiente e sustentabilidade visando a promoção da saúde dos indivíduos. Trata-se de um estudo teórico-reflexivo construído a partir de referências trabalhadas na disciplina Trabalho da Enfermagem/saúde no Contexto socioambiental, durante o primeiro semestre de 2019 do Curso de Doutorado em Enfermagem do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Enfermagem da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande e da leitura crítica sobre o tema. Os resultados se deram através de dois eixos temáticos: relação ambiente e saúde humana; Ações de enfermagem com foco no meio ambiente/sustentabilidade visando à promoção da saúde dos indivíduos.
