Resumo: | This paper describes the conception, the development and the testing of a prototype of a simple and versatile device for micro displacement measurement and thickness monitoring of paper sheets and opaque or transparent plastic films during their fabrication. The device works based on triangulation using low power red diode laser beams for the measurements and low-cost Silicon photodiodes for light detection. The system reproductibility was evaluated as well as experimental simulations for thickness variation detection on adhesive tapes were carried out. The results showed that the gauge is capable to detect and measure thickness variations smaller than 5 µm in real time and can be easily implemented in a production system. |

El dispositivo se basea en el fenómeno de triangulación, utilizando hazes láser de diodo rojos de baja potencia para mediciones y fotodiodos de silício de bajo costo para la detección de luz. Se evaluó la reproducibilidad del sistema, así como se hicierón simulaciones experimentales para medir las variaciones de espesor de cintas adhesivas. Los resultados muestram que el medidor es capaz de detectar y medir variaciones en el espesor de la película de menos que 5 µm en tiempo real y pude desplegarse facilmente en un sistema de producción.Este artigo descreve a concepção, o desenvolvimento e testes de um protótipo de dispositivo simples e versátil para a medição de micro-deslocamentos e controle de espessuras de folhas de papel e filmes de materiais plásticos em geral, opacos ou transparentes, durante o processo de produção. O dispositivo baseia-se no fenômeno da triangulação, usando feixes de laser de diodo vermelho de baixa potência para as medições e fotodiodos de Silício de baixo custo para a detecção da luz. Foi avaliada a reprodutibilidade do sistema, bem como realizadas simulações experimentais para a medida de variações de espessuras de fitas adesivas.
