Epidemiological aspects and temporal trend of HIV/AIDS in women under antiretroviral treatment, general fields: 2002-2017

Resumo: Background and Objectives: In 2009, 4,737 cases of HIV / AIDS were reported in women in Brazil. Due to the greater vulnerability experienced by women, studies show that in underdeveloped countries such as Africa, young women between the ages of 15 and 24 have twice the likely to be living with HIV / AIDS when compared to men. In view of the above, the objective of the present study was to describe the epidemiological aspects and the temporal trend of HIV / AIDS in women in antiretroviral treatment in the General of Paraná fields from 2002 to 2017. Methods: This is a cohort epidemiological study (SAE) of the Municipality of Ponta Grossa - PR, in the period from 2002 to 2017. Data were collected from 504 medical records and records of reports of the aggravation of women receiving antiretroviral treatment in the city. Results: The cohort women were mostly white, with an average age of 45 years and with low schooling. There was a predominance of married women with heterosexual behavior who acquired the sexually transmitted infection. An association between sexual behavior, marital status and mode of transmission was observed, with an increase in the incidence of women living with HIV / AIDS in the municipality, with a growth of 1.35% per year and a higher incidence rate in 2016. Conclusion: It is It is important that public policies aimed at reducing gender inequality and actions that enable female empowerment be implemented in order to guarantee a reduction in the stigma suffered by these women.

El objetivo del presente estudio fue describir los aspectos epidemiológicos y la tendencia temporal del VIH / SIDA en mujeres en tratamiento antirretroviral en los campos generales del Paraná en el período de 2002 a 2017. Métodos: Se trata de un estudio epidemiológico de cohorte en el período de 2002 a 2017. Los datos fueron recolectados a partir de 504 prontuarios y fichas de notificación de agravios de las mujeres en tratamiento antirretroviral en el municipio. Resultados: Las mujeres de la cohorte eran en su mayoría blancas, con promedio de edad de 45 años y con baja escolaridad. Se verificó la predominancia de mujeres casadas, con comportamiento heterosexual y que adquirieron la infección sexualmente. Se observó una asociación entre el comportamiento sexual, el estado civil y el modo de transmisión y se constató un aumento de la incidencia de mujeres que viven con VIH / SIDA en el municipio, con un crecimiento del 1.35% al ​​año y con mayor coeficiente de incidencia en 2016. Conclusione: es importante que se implanten políticas públicas orientadas a reducir la desigualdad de género y acciones que viabilicen el empoderamiento femenino, a fin de garantizar la disminución del estigma sufrido por estas mujeres.Justificativa e Objetivo: Em 2018 foram notificados 4.737 casos de HIV/AIDS em mulheres no Brasil, Devido a maior vulnerabilidade vivenciada pelas mulheres, estudos mostram que em países subdesenvolvidos como a África, mulheres jovens com idade entre 15 e 24 anos possuem o dobro de probabilidade de estarem vivendo com HIV/AIDS quando comparado aos homens. Diante do exposto, o objetivo do presente estudo foi descrever os aspectos epidemiológicos e a tendência temporal de HIV/AIDS em mulheres em tratamento antirretroviral nos campos Gerais do Paraná no período de 2002 a 2017. Métodos: Trata-se de um estudo epidemiológico de coorte realizado no Serviço de Atenção Especializada (SAE) do Município de Ponta Grossa – PR, no período de 2002 a 2017. Os dados foram coletados a partir de 504 prontuários e fichas de notificação de agravos das mulheres em tratamento antirretroviral no município. Resultados: As mulheres da coorte eram em sua maioria brancas, com média de idade de 45 anos e com baixa escolaridade. Verificou-se a predominância de mulheres casadas, com comportamento heterossexual e que adquiriram a infecção sexualmente. Foi observado uma associação entre o comportamento sexual, estado civil e modo de transmissão e constatado um aumento da incidência de mulheres vivendo com HIV/AIDS no município, com crescimento de 1.35% ao ano e com maior coeficiente de incidência em 2016.
