Resumo: In the context of the Coronavirus pandemic, the regulation of the use of telemonitoring and teleorientation in Dentistry was released in June 2020 by the Federal Council of Dentistry. The objective of this study was to evaluate the results of telemonitoring, to trace the sociodemographic and epidemiological profile of the patients, to verify the difficulties faced in the execution and the urgent demands . The convenience sample consisted of searching for data in 1643 medical records of patients who received telemonitoring from July to October 2020. A structured script was used to collect sociodemographic and epidemiological data, in addition to questions regarding satisfaction with care in the opinion of the patient. The sample consisted of 57.9% male and 42.1% female. The mean age was 21 years (±16.9). The largest number of patients who received telemonitoring were from the physical disability clinic (81.6%). A small portion of patients (2.6%) did not receive educational audiovisual material due to the lack of receiving devices such as cell phones and computers. COVID-19 (p=0.0001) and who did not receive audiovisual material (p=0.0001). Telemonitoring is a resource that allowed the promotion of health care, in addition to disseminating relevant information to people with disabilities during the pandemic, and is established as a new artifice of health promotion and prevention.

El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar los resultados del telemonitoreo, rastrear el perfil sociodemográfico y epidemiológico de los pacientes, verificar las dificultades enfrentadas en la ejecución y las demandas urgentes . La muestra por conveniencia consistió en la búsqueda de datos en 1643 historias clínicas de pacientes que recibieron telemonitoreo de julio a octubre de 2020. Se utilizó un guión estructurado para recolectar datos sociodemográficos y epidemiológicos, además de preguntas sobre la satisfacción con la atención a juicio del paciente. La muestra estuvo compuesta por un 57,9% de hombres y un 42,1% de mujeres. La edad media fue de 21 años (±16,9). El mayor número de pacientes que recibieron telemonitoreo fueron de la clínica de discapacidad física (81,6%). Una pequeña porción de pacientes (2,6%) no recibió material audiovisual educativo por falta de dispositivos receptores como celulares y computadoras COVID-19 (p=0,0001) y que no recibieron material audiovisual (p=0,0001). La telemonitorización es un recurso que permitió la promoción del cuidado de la salud, además de difundir información relevante a las personas con discapacidad durante la pandemia, y se constituye como un nuevo artificio de promoción y prevención de la salud.No contexto da pandemia do Coronavírus, a regulamentação do uso do telemonitoramento e teleorientação em Odontologia foi liberada em junho de 2020 pelo Conselho Federal de Odontologia. A amostra por conveniência consistiu na busca de dados em 1643 prontuários de pacientes que receberam o telemonitoramento no período de julho a outubro de 2020. Foi utilizado um roteiro estruturado na coleta de dados sociodemográficos e epidemiológicos, além de perguntas referentes à satisfação do atendimento na opinião do paciente. A amostra foi composta por 57,9% pessoas do sexo masculino e 42,1% do sexo feminino. A idade média foi de 21 anos (±16,9). O maior número de pacientes que receberam o telemonitoramento eram da clínica de deficiência física (81,6%). Uma pequena parcela de pacientes (2,6%) não recebeu material audiovisual educativo por falta de dispositivo de recebimento como celulares e computadores. Ao avaliar as entregas realizadas, observou-se que houve associação significativa entre os pacientes que não receberam orientações para prevenção contra a COVID-19 (p=0,0001) e que não receberam material audiovisual (p=0,0001).
