The dimension management in the theory of organizations

Resumo: | The early nineteenth century was marked by many social, economic and cultural transformations in organizations. An element of strong influence on the survival of companies since that time was management. Within the organizational studies, several scholars sought ways to improve the way they manage. From the changes in the world historical context in which the management dimension was transformed, the present work aims to reflect on the evolution of the way management is characterized in organizational studies. Through a bibliographical and qualitative research, it was possible to gather sources to make an analysis and to understand the transformations of the management in the theory of the organizations. The results showed that management approaches, over the decades, show convergences and divergences among themselves. Analyzing the changes in the form of communication regarding flexibility in decision making, making it possible to conclude that the knowledge and learning of the managers were fundamental in the evolution of management given the dynamism and uncertainties of the organizational environment. By observing how management practices have been reshaped and gained new insights through organizational theories, it is hoped that new approaches and theories will emerge to modify the way of managing contemporary organizations. |

Un elemento de fuerte influencia en la supervivencia de las empresas desde esa época fue la gestión. Dentro de los estudios organizacionales, varios académicos buscaron formas de mejorar la forma de administrar. A partir de los cambios en el contexto histórico mundial en el que se transformó la dimensión gerencial, el presente trabajo pretende reflexionar sobre la evolución de la forma en que se caracteriza la gerencia en los estudios organizacionales. A través de una investigación bibliográfica y cualitativa fue posible recopilar fuentes para realizar un análisis y comprender las transformaciones de la gestión en la teoría de las organizaciones. Los resultados mostraron que los enfoques de gestión, a lo largo de las décadas, muestran convergencias y divergencias entre sí. El análisis de los cambios en la forma de comunicación en cuanto a la flexibilidad en la toma de decisiones permitió concluir que el conocimiento y aprendizaje de los directivos fue fundamental en la evolución de la gestión ante el dinamismo y las incertidumbres del entorno organizacional. Al observar cómo las prácticas de gestión fueron remodeladas y adquirieron nuevos enfoques a través de las teorías de las organizaciones, se espera que surjan nuevos enfoques y teorías para modificar la forma de gestionar las organizaciones contemporáneas.O início do século XIX foi marcado por muitas transformações sociais, econômicas e culturais nas organizações. Um elemento de forte influência na sobrevivência das empresas desde aquela época foi a gestão. Dentro dos estudos organizacionais vários estudiosos buscaram formas de aprimorar a maneira de gerir. A partir das mudanças do contexto histórico mundial no qual a dimensão gestão foi transformada, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo fazer uma reflexão sobre a evolução da maneira que a gestão se caracteriza nos estudos organizacionais. Por meio de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e qualitativa foi possível reunir fontes para fazer uma análise e compreender as transformações da gestão na teoria das organizações. Os resultados mostraram que as abordagens de gestão, ao longo das décadas, apresentam convergências e divergências entre si. Analisar as mudanças desde a forma de comunicação quanto a flexibilidade na tomada de decisões, possibilitou concluir que o conhecimento e a aprendizagem dos gestores foram fundamentais na evolução do gerenciamento frente ao dinamismo e as incertezas do ambiente organizacional. Ao observar como as práticas de gestão se remodelaram e ganharam novos enfoques através das teorias das organizações, espera-se que novas abordagens e teorias venham a surgir para modificar a forma de gerir as organizações contemporâneas.
