Applicability of collagen biostimulators (poly-l-lactic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite) in dermal filler in off-face areas of the body

Resumo: | This article aims to present an integrative literature review, in which it evaluates the clinical evidence of the use of collagen biostimulators for body harmonization and if there is a recommendation for the application of the product, because in the current context, biostimulators act in body rejuvenation with the purpose of harmonizing it. This is a study carried out through the MEDLINE/PubMed and ScienceDirect databases, using the following Health Science Descriptors (DeCS) in English and Portuguese: body rejuvenation, body biostimulators, dermal fillers, body contouring, calcium hydroxyapatite, poly-L-lactic acid and its combinations, refining the findings with the Boolean operator AND. A 10-year time record was taken into account with publications in the period from 2012 to 2022, clinical studies in which they had in the abstract information that covered the objective of this study. The selected studies present satisfactory results with biostimulators in off-face regions of the body, being a safe and effective practice to treat sagging and firmness of the skin, in addition to obtaining volumization and improvement in the skin's body contours. Although studies highlight promising results in body areas, more scientific data are lacking on the use of these products in these regions. |

Este es un estudio realizado a través de las bases de datos MEDLINE/PubMed y ScienceDirect, utilizando los siguientes Descriptores de Ciencias de la Salud (DeCS) en inglés y portugués: rejuvenecimiento corporal, bioestimuladores corporales, rellenos dérmicos, contorno corporal, hidroxiapatita de calcio, ácido poli-L-láctico y sus combinaciones, refinando los hallazgos con el operador booleano AND. Se tomó en cuenta un registro de tiempo de 10 años con publicaciones en el periodo de 2012 a 2022, estudios clínicos en los que tenían en el resumen información que abarcaba el objetivo de este estudio. Los estudios seleccionados presentan resultados satisfactorios con bioestimuladores en zonas off-face del cuerpo, siendo una práctica segura y eficaz para tratar la flacidez y firmeza de la piel, además de obtener voluminización y mejora en el contorno corporal de la piel. Aunque los estudios destacan resultados prometedores en áreas del cuerpo, faltan más datos científicos sobre el uso de estos productos en estas regiones.Este artigo tem como objetivo apresentar uma revisão integrativa de literatura, em que avalia as evidências clínicas da utilização dos bioestimuladores de colágeno para harmonização corporal e se há recomendação para a aplicação do produto, pois no contexto atual, os bioestimuladores atuam no rejuvenescimento corporal com o propósito de harmonizá-lo. Trata-se de um estudo feito através das bases de dados MEDLINE/PubMed e ScienceDirect, utilizando como Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) em inglês e português: rejuvenescimento corporal, bioestimuladores corporais, preenchedores dérmicos corporais, contorno corporal, hidroxiapatita de cálcio, ácido poli-L-láctico e suas combinações, refinando os achados com o operador booleano AND. Levou-se em consideração um recordo temporal de 10 anos com publicações no período de 2012 a 2022, estudos clínicos nos quais possuíam no resumo informações que abarcassem o objetivo deste estudo. Os Estudos selecionados apresentam resultados satisfatórios com bioestimuladores em regiões off-face do corpo, sendo uma prática segura e eficaz para tratar flacidez e firmeza da pele, além de obter volumização e melhoria nos contornos corporais da pele.
