Study of an eco-efficiency index for pollutant emission projects using AHP method in decision making

Resumo: | The eco-efficiency index must be measured based on environmental, energy and material parameters, among others, where it will help in the fight against waste and should contribute to monitoring the implementation of a sustainable project. In this work, an algorithm based on the AHP method was developed aiming to help people in decision-making in projects that simulate real combustion situations; the MATLAB software was used for this. The steps used were: Definition of criteria (SOx, NOx, PM, and VOC emissions), creation of the judgment matrix, and simulation of the values assigned to the projects (using CONAMA resolution 436/2011 as a parameter). The results showed that project 3 had the best eco-efficiency index since its decision vector has the lowest impact compared to other projects; likewise, project 2 proved to be the most harmful under the conditions evaluated. It is expected that from this work new more complex solutions can be created using new criteria, scenarios, and other methods and programming logic. |

En este trabajo se desarrolló un algoritmo basado en el método AHP con el objetivo de ayudar a las personas en la toma de decisiones en proyectos que simulan situaciones reales de combustión;Para ello se utilizó el software MATLAB. Los pasos utilizados fueron: Definición de criterios (emisiones de SOx, NOx, PM y VOC),creación de la matriz de juicio y simulación de los valores asignados a los proyectos (usando como parámetro la resolución CONAMA 436/2011).Los resultados mostraron que el proyecto 3 tuvo el mejor índice de ecoeficiencia ya que su vector de decisión es el de menor impacto en comparación con otros proyectos; del mismo modo, el proyecto 2 resultó ser el más dañino en las condiciones evaluadas. Se espera que a partir de este trabajo se puedan crear nuevas soluciones más complejas utilizando nuevos criterios, escenarios y otros métodos y lógicas de programación.O índice de ecoeficiência deve ser mensurado a partir de parâmetros ambientais, energia e materiais, dentre outros, onde ajudará no combate ao desperdício e deverá contribuir para monitorar a implantação de um projeto sustentável. Neste trabalho foi desenvolvido um algoritmo baseado no método AHP com o objetivo de auxiliar as pessoas em tomadas de decisões em projetos que simulam situações reais de combustão; para isso foi utilizado o software MATLAB. As etapas empregadas foram: Definição dos critérios (emissões SOx, NOx, MP e COV), criação da matriz de julgamento e simulação dos valores atribuídos para os projetos (utilizando a resolução CONAMA 436/2011 como parâmetro). Os resultados demonstraram que o projeto 3 teve o melhor índice de ecoeficiência dado seu vetor de decisão ser o de menor impacto em comparação aos outros projetos; da mesma forma o projeto 2 mostrou-se o mais prejudicial nas condições avaliadas.
