Surgical treatment of fracture in the anterior table of the frontal sinus

Resumo: Introduction: The importance of the correct clinical and tomographic diagnosis of facial fractures is extremely important for the correct treatment, minimizing the chances of long and short term complications. Case report: Patient victim of severe trauma who underwent surgery to reconstruct the anterior wall of the frontal bone, evolving without complications and without aesthetic defects due to the correct treatment and approach of the case. Discussion: The computed tomographic and clinical examination together with the correct choice of treatment avoids complications that, when fractured in a region so close to the brain, becomes extremely important. Complications of difficult treatment and solution such as abscesses and osteomyelitis in such a region. Conclusion: The correct observation of the important anatomical structures in each fracture allows the correct and complete treatment with the minimized risk of complications or sequelae.

Caso clínico: Paciente víctima de trauma severo que fue intervenido quirúrgicamente para reconstruir la pared anterior del hueso frontal, evolucionando sin complicaciones y sin defectos estéticos debido al correcto tratamiento y abordaje del caso. Discusión: La tomografía computarizada y el examen clínico junto con la correcta elección del tratamiento evita complicaciones que, al fracturarse en una región tan cercana al cerebro, adquieren una gran importancia. Complicaciones de tratamiento y solución difíciles, como abscesos y osteomielitis en dicha región. Conclusión: La correcta observación de las estructuras anatómicas importantes en cada fractura permite el correcto y completo tratamiento con el mínimo riesgo de complicaciones o secuelas.Introdução:  A importância do correto diagnóstico clínico e tomográfico de fraturas de face é de extrema importância para o correto tratamento, minimizando as chances de complicações a longo e curto prazo. Relato de caso: Paciente vítima de trauma de grande intensidade submetido a cirurgia para reconstrução de parede anterior de osso frontal evoluindo sem complicações e sem defeitos estéticos devido ao correto tratamento e abordagem do caso. Discussão: O exame tomográfico e clínico apurados juntamente com a correta escolha de tratamento evita complicações que quando em fraturas em região tão próxima ao encéfalo se torna de extrema importância.
