Land Use and Coverage in the Itacaiúnas River Hydrographic Sub-Basin, State of Pará

Resumo: | Human actions have caused changes in land use and coverage, which are often difficult to estimate. These changes can be recognized and mitigated through spatiotemporal data that make it possible to perceive changes in the landscape, as a subsidy, for the control of land use and coverage. This work presents a detailed time-space analysis of the dynamics of land use and coverage, in the Itacaiúnas River sub-basin, located in the Amazon region, Southeast Paraense, between the years 2004, 2010, 2012 and 2014. Topodata digital data and classification of the “terraclass” project from Lansat-5 and 8 satellites were used, as well as remote sensing tools to calculate and map the land use and land cover classes within the sub-basin unit. The results showed that during the studied period, the classes of land use and cover went through a great variation, with the progressive replacement of forests by areas with pasture, mining, and urban areas. Along with the rapid growth of these classes, the landscape of native vegetation has been replaced by an anthropized landscape, of a heterogeneous and fragmented character, as shown by the variations in the percentage of land use and cover classes. |

Estos cambios pueden ser reconocidos y mitigados a través de datos espacio temporales que permitan percibir cambios en el paisaje, como un subsidio, para el control del uso y cobertura del suelo. Este trabajo presenta un análisis tiempo espacio detallado de la dinámica de uso y cobertura del suelo, en la subcuenca del río Itacaiunas, ubicada en la región amazónica, sureste de Paraense, entre los años 2004, 2010, 2012 y 2014. Para tal efecto, se utilizaron datos digitales Topodata y clasificación del proyecto “Terraclas” de Lansat-5 y 8 satélites, así como herramientas de teledetección para calcular y mapear el uso del suelo y las clases de cobertura del suelo, dentro de la unidad de subcuenca. Los resultados mostraron que durante el período estudiado, las clases de uso y cobertura del suelo sufrieron una gran variación, con el reemplazo progresivo de bosques por áreas con pastos, minería y áreas urbanas. Junto con el rápido crecimiento de estas clases, el paisaje de vegetación nativa ha sido reemplazado por un paisaje antropizado, de carácter heterogéneo y fragmentado, como lo demuestran las variaciones en el porcentaje de clases de uso y cobertura del suelo.Ações antrópicas têm provocado alterações no uso e cobertura da terra, que muitas das vezes, são difíceis de ser estimadas. Essas alterações podem ser reconhecidas e mitigadas através de dados espaço-temporais que possibilitam perceber alterações na paisagem, como subsídio, para o controle do uso e cobertura da terra. Este trabalho apresenta uma análise espaço temporal detalhada da dinâmica do uso e cobertura da terra, na sub-bacia hidrográfica do rio Itacaiúnas, localizada na região Amazônica, Sudeste Paraense, entre os anos de 2004, 2010, 2012 e 2014. Para tanto, foram utilizados dados digitais do Topodata e classificação do projeto “terraclass” de satélites Lansat-5 e 8, assim como, ferramentas de sensoriamento remoto para calcular e mapear as classes de uso e a cobertura da terra, dentro da unidade da sub-bacia. Os resultados mostraram que durante o período estudado, as classes de uso e cobertura da terra passaram por uma grande variação, com a substituição progressiva de florestas por áreas com pastagem, mineração, e áreas urbanas.
