Resumo: | Introduction: Cancer is one of the most complex public health problems in Brazil, with a high degree of morbidity and mortality. However, it has effective therapeutic methods, such as chemotherapy, where nurses are active in this process. Objective: To report the experience lived by a resident nurse, who worked in the oncology sector, administration of intravenous chemotherapy. Methodology: Descriptive study, type of experience report, elaborated from the experience of this nurse in the oncology sector of her in-service training unit. Development: The resident nurse had the opportunity to develop theoretical and practical knowledge, in order to promote a complete and quality care to cancer patients. Conclusion: The study was of great value to highlight the importance of the nursing residency program and may lead to the development of new research on the subject. |

Sin embargo, cuenta con métodos terapéuticos efectivos, como la quimioterapia, donde el enfermero es activo en este proceso. Objetivo: Relatar la experiencia y lo vivido por una enfermera residente, que trabajaba en el sector de oncología, destacándose la administración de quimioterapia intravenosa. Metodología: Estudio descriptivo, del tipo relato de experiencia, elaborado a partir de la experiencia de esta enfermera en el sector de oncología de su unidad de formación continua. Desarrollo: La enfermera residente tuvo la oportunidad de desarrollar conocimientos teóricos y prácticos, con el fin de promover una atención integral y de calidad a los pacientes oncológicos. Conclusión: El estudio fue de gran valor para resaltar la importancia del programa de residencia en enfermería y puede conducir al desarrollo de nuevas investigaciones sobre el tema.Introdução: O câncer é um dos mais complexos problemas de saúde pública do Brasil, com alto grau de morbidade e mortalidade. Contudo possui métodos terapêuticos eficazes, como a quimioterapia, onde o enfermeiro é atuante nesse processo. Objetivo: Relatar a experiência vivida por uma enfermeira residente, que atuou no setor de oncologia, destacando a administração de quimioterápicos endovenosos. Metodologia: Estudo descritivo, do tipo relato de experiência, elaborado a partir da vivência dessa enfermeira no setor de oncologia da sua unidade de treinamento em serviço. Desenvolvimento: A enfermeira residente teve a oportunidade de desenvolver o conhecimento teórico e prático, de forma a promover um cuidado completo e com qualidade ao paciente oncológico.
